Being reported in the press today that he is being lined up for a new deal at the Swans, personally i think its very well deserved and im really chuffed for the player as well, ive liked him from the start and couldnt beleive it when he bizzarly took some stick on these message boards in his first few games at a new club playing a totally different position to what he was used to !! Anyway, enough of my "i told you so " bollocks.. a new deal for this player is IMO a great show of confidence in him by the manager and club, and i feel its something that this player has lacked from many of his clubs in the past. Its clear to see he is a talented footballer and many people were very supportive of him when he was being shafted by rodgers and replaced with a mis firing Sinclair every time he played well!! Routs didnt moan in the press over it even though he probably had good reason to, he just kept his head down and thought it might be time to move onto another club this summer, lucky for us Laudrup saw his talent and has harnessed it superbly, he has been practically first name on the team sheet this season and that is quite a turnaround for him, looks like the typicla "confidence" player, with the support of the Jack army, who are really warming to Wayne, this boy can be a key player for us in his "asset years" as Brenden bull**** likes to call it.. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/swanseacityfc/swansea-city-fc/2012/10/24/91466-32092020/
ah yes the asset years well hopefully we'll see the best of him before he goes into the :too "old and slow years ", He's been outstanding this season and hopefully that will continue .
Deserves it if true. He is by far our most improved player and has been oustanding for us. Great news.
Must say I'm very pleased for the lad, Rodgers brought him here, but failed to let him shine, was really annoying to see the way he continually played Sinclair when he was way off form, with Routledge simmering on the bench, at least he starts every week now, and is looking more portent than Sinclair at the minute, here's hoping he goes from strength to strength!.........................
Really pleased if he does. When he first came my initial reaction was, I think we paid too much for a player who wont make much of an impact. I'm pretty sure he was one of our top assists last year, without playing much....And this year he has been a pleasure to watch and my first thoughts have been proved wrong. Well done Wayne
Totally deserves it, good to see the core of the squad being rewarded and ensures that the money bags will have to pay us some serious dough if they want one of our boys. Nice one Huw Jenkins and the board.
Wayne ,if you're reading this "good man", great to see him take his chance with both hands (and feet)
