I think this is great news, he's been like a new signing under Laudrup http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/transfer-zone/2013/01/03/3645183/-
Yes, as good as new. And the key thing is that we don't quite know what his full upside is yet. This is his discovery season. Next season should be even better as his understanding with new players gels and his confidence in what he can do builds.
Some players struggle to fit in at certain clubs and Routs is one who looked like he was going to become a super-sub journey man until he came here. Pleased with this news!
Great news indeed. I've long been a fan of Routledge, and was disappointed that Rodgers seemed to almost ignore him. He has been a revelation under Mr. Laudrup, and long may the association continue.
Yep great news, just posted about this in another thread but looks like im a few hours behind the news
Totally deserved and is now showing what all the other managers seen in him all he needed was a run of games and bingo and a loving club croeso I abertawe Wayne and long may you stay
All I hope is that he continues to up his game and doesn't start to sit back thinking "job done". He deserves his contract but we all know there are players who, once they have earned a contract extension, don't seem to produce. I would hope that a lot of his (and other players) salary is based on appearances and team position etc.
That's a good point Ivor and the way things are going with wages , I think more and more clubs should be going with that!
