Sad to see him go, was a good player, but like I said on another thread I have hopes that Lua Lua can make the step up next season :)

i always thought he seemed nervous in front of goal. His main attribute was pace, something our current midfielders seem to lack in. There are better RM/RW out there than routledge.

Barton has definately cemented the right side as his own with Raylor as cover. Its not a huge blow to lose routledge and I think its a sensible move for all parties involved.

Probably for the best for him and us, pace and nerves doesnt bode well for a PL winger, let alone when Barton and Raylor have far superior delivery.

To be fair we'll get 1-2million and at least 20k a week (at least 1mil per year) to offer on wages, every little helps.

Also selling Smith and Xisco would save around 5 million a year in wages alone, then maybe get a few million transfer fee for them both.

Great championship player, could do a job for a bottom half premier league team. But that isn't us, onwards and upwards, the next level and all that ;)

    Good luck Wayne.

p.s. HBA for the number 10 shirt!

I'm not sure what Tiote was on before but surely this comes close to cancelling out his wage increase for a couple of years at least?

True, we're also paying some of Ireland's wages, but we can minus Carroll's from that.

    Very rough guesses
Paying: Ireland 50k? Tiote 30k (increase)
    Saving: Routledge 20k, Carroll 30k, Xisco 40k

Yeah they're the kind of fee's that i'd guess at, which makes decent reading :)

sods law is, he'll do well for QPR in the Prem next season. That's all he needed really. To have gained 'ex-toon player' status

True but if he's anything like Taylor he'll still be considered a "top young player" despite being in his mid twenties and injury prone. I expect he'll be gone in summer.

Farewell Routledge! I liked him and his attitude is great, never really shone in the prem though so time to move on I'm sure <ok>

I am sad to see him go. In fact I am sad to see anyone leave who genuinely wants to be here. That goes for Perch when too when he eventually leaves, cant fault the lads effort!

He was a decent player, had speed and ball control and could beat his man and get into dangerous positions.

Gave us an injection of pace into our midfield that we needed and was one of our best performers in the CCC. Such a shame he can't cross a ball because he is actually a half decent player. He always gave 100% effort and for that I respect him and wish him well!

He'll do well at QPR and the fans will appreciate him. Good luck to him anyway.

Except as looks likely, when QPR are playing against us next season.
