Rotherham United v Swansea City Competition - Sky Bet Championship Date - 3 November 2018 Kick off - 3pm Venue - New York Stadium Following back to back home victories over Blackburn and Reading, next up for Graham Potter’s Swansea squad is a trip to Rotherham. Former Swansea Manager, Paul Clement had an unhappy return to the Liberty Stadium as his struggling Reading side were beaten 2-0 by Graham Potter’s Swansea City. Oli McBurnie's penalty gave the vibrant hosts a 1-0 half-time lead - a scoreline which did not reflect their domination. Reading almost made them pay for their profligacy but striker Yakou Meite twice headed wide. Apart from those scares, Swansea were in control and sealed victory with McBurnie's late strike from close in. That second win in a week lifted the Swans up to eighth in the Championship table - two points from the play-off places - whilst Reading remain in the relegation zone, one place and two points below Swansea’s next opponents Rotherham. Whilst the Swans were beating Reading, Rotherham secured their fifth draw in six games after coming from behind to earn a point at Preston North End. Tom Barkhuizen gave the hosts a 1-0 lead just before half-time when the forward's header from Callum Robinson's corner deflected into the back of the net. But the Millers fought back strongly after the break and levelled through Michael Smith's fierce strike into the top corner. Robinson had a golden chance to secure victory for the hosts but Rotherham goalkeeper Marek Rodak denied Preston's top goalscorer with his feet. The Swans and the Millers have met on 76 occasions, with Swansea winning 27, Rotherham 24, with 25 drawn matches. Whenever the Jack Army visits Rotherham, we remember, and our thoughts and prayers are with Terry Coles. RIP Terry The teams last met in a League Cup match at the Liberty Stadium in August 2014, when the Swans ran out 1-0 victors thanks to a Bafetimbi Gomis goal. Turning to Saturday, if the Swans are to sustain a promotion/play-off challenge, a visit to Rotherham is a game that Potter and his Management team would be targeting for 3 points. Play as we did in the second half against Blackburn, and for most of the game against Reading, and I would expect the Swans to win 2-0. Any dip in performance levels, could see a defeat. I’m going 2-0 and 3 points to the Swans
I knew Terry when i use to go to some away matches bless him,,,I am expecting at least a draw but we are good enough for a win as long as we can hit the target more times than not which we have been doing.......Hoping for a 0 - 2 win...
Will we see Montero play a part in this match ? Imagine him on one side with Daniel James on the other - it's quite mouth watering.
The chap I work with is a Rotherham fanatic. I have warned him that Monty will probably come on as sub on Saturday. Going for a 1-0 to the Swans
Not an easy game for us although they do like their draws so with confidence still high and with Ollie now finding the net again , I'm hopeful of a win 1-2
Safe journey to all who travel to the sh_ite hole today. Come on you Swans give the travelling JA something to cheer
Okay, any predictions for the team, there always appears to be at least one confusing selection to keep us guessing. Dhanda to play?
Well we haven't had anyone sent off for a couple of games, so maybe we'll go down to ten in this one.
