Very disappointed with yesterdays draw. Good chance to stay closer to the top 3. That said, we're still only 3 points off top with 18 to play.

No major damage done to the chasing pack ( Brentford lost/ Watford same / Norwich and Wolves drawing )

For what it's worth, call me negative all you want but I cannot see with the current squad us coming top 2. We really could do with 2 in, especially midfield. Could Ambrose be worth a go at last also? I mean Chalobah has just joined Reading!!!! Derby/Boro and Bournemouth have all brought new recruits in.

Anyway, that's just my opinion but we'll see. Important we bounce back and get the three points at Rotherham. COME ON!

Midfield is certainly the area we need to improve most, whether that be personnel or as I've said a few times recently coaching. It's not just players who make how a team play but it's the management and coaching staff also.

Look how improved our defence has been since Mick has come in, that's through coaching, look at how someone like Murphy has come on since Mick has been here, that's through coaching unfortunately to me it looks like the midfield has been neglected.

You can often tell areas that the coaching staff focus on. I remember when Magilton first took over the team marketedly improved in midfield areas in possession of the ball, you could really see they had focused on the triangles and pass and move, that's what we could do with in this team at the moment

Without a doubt MM has improved our defence but if the midfielders are anonymous it brings greater pressure on to our back 4, Berra has been immense ever since he came here but with very little cover from Skuse, Tabb, etc, even he isn't comfortable, also I think Parr should be Full Back and Mings on the bench, weve won 1 game from the last 6 somethings not right.

We should be targeting a win at Rotherham, so I'd take a scrappy 1-0. Points on the board will be the priority coming to the business end of the season. Throughout our unbeaten streak, earlier in the campaign, Wigan and Rotherham were the type of teams that we'd be able to claim a tough, well-fought 2-0 victory over. Hopefully we haven't lost that determination and organisation during the past month, where our form has curtailed.

I always thought automatic promotion was a bit of a pipe dream, and a slightly unfeasible an expectation. There are better structured and financed teams around us, however, we're running them pretty damn close so, as long as we can keep up with the likes of Derby and Middlesbrough (who have some easy fixtures coming up and, on paper, are the likeliest to claim the top two places), I can see us maybe upsetting the apple cart towards the end of the campaign.

Nonetheless, play offs would be an amazing achievement (judging by pre-season expectations). But of course it would be a shame, and a massive shock I think, if we were to drop out the top six altogether, considering the season we've had so far. I don't think that will be the case but, obviously, the higher up the table we finish, the better for all of us. For that to happen, I seriously believe Evans needs to loosen the purse strings slightly(!) and allow MM to bring in a pacy winger, an inventive central midfielder, and a right back. Whether some, or all (groan) of these players come on loan, I don't mind, because these are problem areas that we need to address, otherwise we're going to continue struggling against the 'bigger' teams in this division.

True. However, over the course of the season, which was what I was hinting at, we've generally done well against struggling teams. Wigan, and indeed Brighton before them, are hopefully just a recent blip in form and not an indication that we've been 'found out' as a side. Nonetheless, at least one wide, creative, and pacy players needs to be signed,

Ballmouth, Derby and Boro have all got strength in depth and have the ability to bring in decent players! Alas we are a rag tag outfit put together with 2 Bob to spend so what the hell do we expect? Fact is Evans won't allow any serious money to be spent on strengthening this wafer thin squad and when we do get injuries to key players we can't replace them. I thought Mick got his team selection hopelessly wrong yesterday he should have started with a 4 3 3 because Wigan were there for the taking I just can't believe that Parr isn't starting games because Chambers never will be a Full Back <steam> Yes I paid good hard earned money to watch that garbage but I'm still very much upbeat about Mick and what he's doing at Town. We had no right to get such a quality and highly capable manager as him in the first place. We are however hamstrung with the lack of finances and if we don't bring in at least a couple of new faces by tomorrow we may come unstuck.

Should you go up, one way or the other, is this a scenario that is likely to remain (in your opinion?)

If that was to remain the case, I think it's reasonable to say that we all know what a terrible season awaits. Do you think he would be that stubborn?

If we do go up then I believe that Evans will be willing to spend and spend big. What's stopping him at the moment IMO is the fact that he's wasted so much cash in the past that he is a bit nervous now! I also think that Mick is not asking him for any serious cash to be spent just now believing that he has all the resources he needs to get us over the line! I personally don't agree with this, we do need some back up and without some new faces in we could seriously fook everything up!

You're right Weighty I did and on the evidence of the last few games I still believe that we need strengthening for the final push! <ok>

Something I raised with KOPR a couple of weeks ago when your injury list was looking pretty bad. It is a fairly small squad, and I am inclined to agree that by not adding 2 (or 3), it could come back to bite you on the arse. That said, I still see a top 6 berth for Town (as much as it pains me to say it), and it will probably be one of Bournemouth, Boro or Derby that will kill you off in the play-offs.

We have waited ten years for another opportunity as good as this and I'm worried that a lack of investment will prove our downfall again!

Zzzzzzzz warky blaming Evans again, funny, i read that MM is more than happy with current squad and praises Evans as he turn down big offers for average players (wrongly, give me Parr over Mings every day)
Nuggets, all i ever read from you is splinter on the arse, sit on the fence bullshit!!
I actually think Evans is more than happy to back Mick but Mick is happy with what he has, that is fine and fair enough but dont slate Evans, when maybe its down to Mick being happy with his settled squad!!
As Weighty has stated many times, why upset the current squad when things are working? Maybe that is Micks thinking!!

One of the really good things back in November and December when were winning every week was that I didn't have to read your negative crap! I guess now we have hit a bit of a dodgy patch we will be subjected to more and more of it. God I hope we win next week! <ok>
