Sorry if this is meant to go in some other thread i assume not though as its not an actual rumor or anything just something im asking. Rossi's team villareal were relegated this season partly due to him being injured for almost all of the season. Would anyone else bring him back ? He's a clever player with a lot of talent and a real eye for goal and would be a great replacement for berba. I think he'd be a great strike partner for Rooney; and as he's not a massive name with a big ego we could leave him out of the 11 occasionally and allow welbeck and chicharito a chance to show us what they can do. Would surely come relatively cheap as well due to Villareal's relegation. I know some people mite say we dont need another first choice striker as it will only hold welbeck and hernandez back but for me neither does enough yet to warrant a first team spot for us; welbeck works hard and is decent on the ball but doesn't score regularly enough and hernandez is a goal scorer but lacks all round play, the obvious reason for this is that there both young and still developing there games. But in the mean time we need someone more accomplished and more of a finished article to play in front of/alongside rooney and for me rossi could be that guy.
I doubt he will stay with Villareal now that they have been relegated. Apparently, quite a few La Liga teams are interested in him so he probably will be back playing in La Liga next season. If Fergie is to buy a striker, it will be a back up striker to Rooney, Welbeck and Hernandez.
I do think we'll buy a striker. Fergie has always wanted 4 strikers that can do a job, don't think macheda falls into that category, and Owen and berba are off so leaves us with Rooney, Hernandez and welbeck.
Biggest issue with Rossi is I hate him. ****ing Judas. But really he seems to be quite injury prone, and he didn't make it in the PL before, would he be able too now?
