So much for a happy camp - http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20130129/different-class-on-sunday-ross_2247585_3057134 - but I find this confusing.

These two are so unlike each other that they should be a brilliant little and large partnership, but it's clear that RossCo doesn't see it like that, and Warnock asks him to play a different game when they are on the pitch together.

Soul destroying - McCormack is top class. I'd suggest it is easier to find a replacement for Becchio than for him, but would much prefer them to play as partners that feed off each other rather than one being used merely to set up the other, as that removes their natural instincts and talents from the game.

It is this sort of tinkering on tactics that really gets my goat - NW, try to learn some skills in getting them to play better together rather than ruining one of them please

Becchio isn't really an effective target man though. Great goalscorer, but it's not like he wins loads of flick ons for McCormack or anything, so it's more like McCormack has to do all the work for Becchio rather than the two of them helping eachother. Think that's why McCormack had so much joy and success working with Keogh last year <ok>

Was just thinking the same. Becchio is a poor target man with poor control and little creative flair, but he is good at putting away chances, hence more of a poacher (despite his height). Ross is quicker with more creative flair. Pair him (Ross) with Habibou who looks like a traditional target man (albeit i must confess to not knowing alot about him at this stage!) and I think we'd have a very strong partnership upfront. (If not Habibou then someone similar)

I'm a Becchio fan, but I'm also realistic and if we can get good money for him I definately think we will be better for it in the immediate future.

If we can get Redmond on the wing with the Becchio money, happy happy days! <cheers>

Ross was on about when Becchio plays Ross is generally on the wing.

They clearly missed that off the official site. the full interview is on the net somewhere

Would love to share your optimism, but even if we got £6m for Becchio I couldn't see us signing Redmond, he'll go to a premiership side or a championship one that are either going somewhere or willing to pay ridiculous wages. We are neither. The more realistic (and much better) alternative would be Burke

That bit about Redmond was based on John Percy (Daily Telegraph)'s tweet earlier about a rumour suggesting Watford being in for him for only £2mil

hmm, I'd be surprised if he went to Watford. Still, Burke is available for less than a million, at a good age, experienced and consistent at this level. I know which I'd prefer

Was going to mention it myself, title a little misleading as well, it isn't that Ross doesn't like playing alongside Becchio, he doesn't like what he is asked to do.

Sick of it all mate, if NW and Haigh and co wish to sell Becchio fine but the ****e they are putting out there trying to turn fans against him and trying to lay blame for our poor showing so far is a disgrace.

    Couldn't agree more,

its gone on for a few weeks and they are really trying to make a player sound bad a lot lot worse than when Bates was here.

Egg on their face mate, all this end of selling our best players crap and we don't need to sell to buy, this new lot don't seem any better than Bates
