At first I thought I had missed something, but it looks like nobody knows. Strange. Naturally, I hope we have an option to buy - I'd like to think we haved progressed enough that we no longer need temporary loan players at our club to get by.
My mate's a Spurs fan & he reckons Rose is a very attack minded player, like Glen Johnson. I hope he can actually defend though, unlike Glen Johnson. Not sure about the option to buy but the thought of him bombing forward to help out Jimmy when there's two defenders on him is mouthwatering. <salivadrippingdownchin>
That's the trouble with loans. If we'd had the option to buy Evans and Welbeck think how much better we would be. With Rose we are getting a player in who may or may not do well. If he does well and improves a lot then Spuds are getting a better player back and if it doesn't work (like Wayne Bridge for example) then we can simply return him. I know we are doing the same thing with the likes of Ryan Noble and probably Connor Wickham but I reckon in these cases there's no option to buy so it's to our advantage. So then, with Danny Rose, if he's good we lose him and if he's poor it's a waste of time. If we have an option to buy then that's fine with me, if not then it's a disappointment.
My thought on this was he was not our first choice, and when the east European option (Strinic?) fell through Rose was the sub and as he is not as yet proven we did not bid for him. So yes he is a Spud player on loan to us. MoN may well try in Jan to bring in his own man and I suppose we could buy Rose?
Tried asking the Spurs fans but didn't get much of a response. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/168087-Danny-Rose
