We had a similar problem with Cody before we got him when Norwich and also Coventry were getting greedy or financially restrained, so not sure if that is unprofessional or just standing up for your own professional future and wanting to play. Being left in the cold when contractual issues are played out are never very nice for the player.

"Rumours",hmm, usually spread by people who know nothing, but want others to think they are in the know. Lots of rumour mongers on these forums.

    Fleetwood Mac's "Rumour's",now that's a different ballgame.

Shame he never made the step up as there was a lot of talk surrounding his ability when we beat Everton and Liverpool to his signature. Hopefully he'll still have a decent career.

He came to Swansea with a good reputation. As you say, some of the more fanciful Club's were interested, but Saint Brendan convinced him to come to Swansea.Sadly,it didn't work out for the lad. Who knows what went on in the background, but he never lived up to the promise. Wish him well at Gillingham, who we'll probably meet in a Cup tournament and he'll net their winner.

He may have made the step up if he was given the chance, i think we never showed him any respect after the fuss we made bringing him here. Im glad he has been snapped up by a decent club and a good manager, i shall keep an eye on his progress so good luck to the lad....

He was brought to the Club as one for the future so how was he "disrespected", I'm not sure what you mean him . He had plenty of playing time within the Academy structure to see if he could develop into a regular squad player and was loaned out twice The boy may come good and if so kudos to him but the leagues are full of players who aren't good enough .
Our Academy is full of players who are not up to the level we're now at and I'm afraid Donnelly is one of them .The Club have just released Curtis Obeng at 26 years old , a promising player who came through Man City's academy but again another not up to it and at 26 I think the Club persevered long enough don't you?

When we achieve academy one status this is something we will get used to because as stated only a small number make the grade.

We bring a lot of young players in, most won't meet the grade we require, like other premier league clubs we try our best with them, we have given opportunities to them to be successful, but they can't all be Ben Davies's can they?

Rory showed more promise than most when we snapped him up under evertons nose, From that day on we let him down and never gave him a chance. he played a couple of pre season games and played well for a rookie and he even scored......Im glad he has left the club as we have ruined his chances and im glad he is young enough to start again with a manager that will build and improve on the skills he already has.....I would love to see him playing top flight football in the future and rub the noses of past and present swans managers as he one day comes back a player of note...

He was a bad egg and I posted on here many months ago that he was to be released at the end of this season. He couldn't even make the Tranmere first team for the final month or two of the season. We are well rid.

How the hell have we ruined his chances? Have you seen him in training? Have you seen him in any games in the reserves?

The point of being in the first team is that he has broken into there, so who do you suggest he's better than so they are dropped?
