IF Rooney was to be sold, what would be a realistic transfer fee? Why are the papers quoting approximately 20 million for Rooney? If anything they usually inflate the figures, so I can't understand why it is so low. He has 2 years left on his contract, not one year, so that can't be the reason. Yes he is on massive wages, but it's not as if we are trying to offload him to clear the wage bill, so I don't think that is a major factor. The only major factor I can think of is the fact that he 'allegedly' wants to leave (acting like a journalist here), and the fans are tired of his antics. So I guess the other clubs think that we need to get rid of Rooney in case he acts as a bad apple within the squad, and so they are planning on making cheeky 20m bids? Am I missing something really obvious here? Before any Chelsea fans state how useless Rooney is and he is not worth more than 20m, I have a 6 letter word for you starting with a 'T'.
30 million. It's the going rate for a player of his age and quality, anything less is ridiculous. Otherwise he stays.
30m + is right price tbh the only club quoted with 20m figure are cheap arsenal , so we can't take them seriously
This is a very simple question to answer. He's not that good anymore and his attitude stinks. He'll not get an offer from a big club.
So he is worth £40M then and I agree he will not go to a big club, but Arse and your lot want him, but no big club want him
by big club ... YES.. but if you refer to City, PSG or Monaco and others .. those clubs are not big one but .....money inflated?.. YES.. desperate? ..YES ... big clubs ?.. NO
Nah, just small clubs like this one http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-20m-for-Manchester-Uniteds-Wayne-Rooney.html Think the fee will depend on how the talks with Moyes go. If he says he wants to leave and Moyes wants to sell him then around £20-25m is likely. If he wants to leave but Moyes wants to keep him the fee will jump up, particularly if it's an English club like Chelsea or Arsenal doing the chasing.
We shouldnt be selling him unless its for silly money. Anything less than £45million and we will have little chance finding a replacement.
Anything between £30-£40m, and go get Benteke for about £20m imo him and RVP could work well together!
You won't, it's only Arsenal that are rumoured to be offering £20M, and we all know they're tight ****s
Not wumming but I'd say that the 20 million rumour is about right, is he really that good that people rate him as 40 million?
Not 40, 25 - 30 I'd say. We sold Carroll for 15m + add ons and Rooney is better than him so 25-30m seems about right. 25m will be the minimum price you get for him I reckon.
Rooneys worth well more than £30million. Hes worth £40million easily. He had a bit of a **** season last season, I mean his combined goal and assist tally only just scraped above 30, better than most players in the premier league but yeh...... hes worth £20million. The only way hes going for that sort of money is if we really want rid and want him gone asap. the fact hes still here means if we do sell him, it wont be for some laughable £20million and if a team in England wants to buy Englands top player.... its going to cost them more than they have ever spent on a player. Why do people want him gone anyway? The club already apologized over claiming he had handed in a transfer request when he hadn't and I'm willing to forgive the first time because when compared to everything he's done at the club, its doesnt compare. Hes not the first to want out then change his mind......
£45million is just a tad steep. He's worth £30-£35m, he's well out of form too, signs of another Torres!
We paid £26million and hes a far better and more complete player who is in his peak. He was also in far better form than Torres was when he left Liverpool. He scored quite a few goals last season and assisted quite a few as well.
