In the scenario Rooney is injured who takes over the duties? And I am not just talking at Manchester United but also in the England lineup. It seems every time Rooney is unavailable Capello comes out with a mental front line up.

Gerrard isn't a complete number 10, I would suggest Fat Joe Cole, but he's fat and out of form.

Rooney is almost irreplaceable, no wonder all the blame for failure is placed on his shoulders.<wah>

Berbatov at United. I'd like to see Nani or Ando play there, but I don't think Nani could spread the ball out like Rooney can, where as Ando could, but I think he would struggle with the goal scoring aspect. Based on the Leeds game, we should try De Gea out. <laugh>

De Gea would go to town on the opposition, no one does a long range pass like the boy. I also thought of Nani but a crazy thought says try Young at the position, both for United and England.

Young played there for Villa last year, I think he's better suited out wide, but it is a pretty viable option. De Gea would be my number one choice.
