Evra and Vidic are top players and one of the best in their position in world and Rooney is competitive. They WOULD NOT have signed new deals if they were not guaranteed Utd would compete to win trophies. This is the facts, you can't retain a set of top players unless they play the highest levels in the game. In my honest opinion money is there to be spent. We all know the Rooney business and what he did and how the owners "reassured him" of big signings and improvements in the team. We are well most of us are in agreement that we will need a goal keeper and improvement in the central midfield. However, we need to get realistic. We are not going to sign 2 world class central mid fielders so get that out of your heads. More than likely Gibson and Hargo will leave the club and maybe Scholes. Pogba will likely get a bigger role and Cleverly will return. Then I feel we will sign a top central midfielder. Anderson will get a bigger role and Carrick and Fletcher will still be here. I can see us spending up to 30m on a central midfielder and 45m in total this summer.
I would suggest that we wait until the end of the season. We've been linked with a few players this season. Am I the only one who thinks Sneijder might sign for us in the summer?
