After watching the game last night and at the weekend it got me thinking again who is better Ronaldo or Messi. Ok Messi was better 1 year ago but is it Ronaldo now?

If you think someone else is better please state:)

Tbh it is probably Messi, but i just could not stand to vote for him. I dislike Barcelona and the fact that everyone considers them the best team in the world despite the fact they are not even holders of the Champions League. Yes Spain won the World Cup what does that have to do with Barcelona? I also dislike how many English people like them, we are English how do we like Spanish teams. So for that reason i voted Ronaldo...... petty i know.

I think Ronaldo tbh, he has shown that he can play amazing in both the PL and LL, whereas Messi has been amazing, but only with Barca, with the likes of Xavi and Inesta supporting him.

Ronaldo for me. Maybe it's down to me remembering Messi is an Argie, and whenever i see him in their shirt i hope they lose and lose badly.

Don't like either Real or Barca, and like the above, I don't understand why people wear their shirts in this country. Only watch El Classico last night cos there was no alternative on the telly. The match was a drab affair unlike Spurs/ Arsenal.

Ronaldo for me. I dislike him but proved himself on numerous stages and i think if you pulled them both out of their current sides and put them in Accrington Stanley’s for example due to strength and style of play i believe Ronaldo would still shine- However Messi would falter without all the Superstars round him playing in his style.

    messi without a doubht..
even last night, had the quietest game ive seen him have in years, yet still picked up the ball in the 2nd half, went through 3 players and played pedro in for the offside goal..
people say he had a poor world cup too, but he was involved in nearly every goal they scored..
he does have great support at barca, with xavi etc..but ive seen games theyve played without him, and they look average, hes involved in nearly everythign they do..

    Unequivocally Lionel Messi.

If it was a top trumps comparison I can't think of any parts of Ronaldos game that Messi isn't the equivalent or better than.

i agree about heading, but cant about strength..for his size, hes difficult to knock off the ball, hes like a terrier that keeps going, often among some serious kickings...ronaldo goes down if somebody farts near him..

I think Ronaldo is equally as good, but I opted for Messi as he doesn't have the same 'problems' personality wise...

The reason Messi is hard to knock off the ball is because of his low centre-of-gravity and the speed he can turn at. As for pace, Ronaldo is faster but Messi has the BEST ball control in the world and can dribble at almost top speed with the ball almost glued to his boot. Overall, I think Messi is better because his technical ability is better and can change a game single handedly.

Sagegee, I wouldn't say Messi is a money grabber, he is the best player at the best team and has been there since he was a kid. He'll be earning alot of money but he's earned that!

    Ian Ashbee!

I know it was the right time for him to leave but I loved his fight.
