    It is understandable.
    1. He is one of the most highly paid footballers in the world
    2. He gets to play football for The biggest team in the world
    3. He gets to play football in the sun

Rumours suggest it may be because he is not getting the contract he desires. I completely agree that he deserves a massive pay rise and that if anyone wants to speak to him they should bow and thank him for having the pleasure of being in his presence.

On a more serious note. He may be just out of Corteses reach but was wondering who he would go to if he left Real Madrid. Few teams can pay his salary. And those that can may struggle to appease him on location.

    Possibilities include

Zenit St Petersburg (League may not be big enough for him but with signings of Stars such as Hulk they show the can certainly pay the wages)
Paris Saint-Germain (Shown they also have the backing to sign big stars but like Russia think the French league may not be big enough)
Inter/Ac milan (Inter did not even make it to champions league and Ac have recently shown they are trying to get the high wage players off the books)
Man United (Would Sir Alex welcome a player back who thought he was bigger then the club)
Chelsea (Recent signings suggest they will happily spend money to contest with the manchester clubs and have the appeal of winning Champions League)
Man City (They can offer him the wages and opportunities but would he show any loyalty or become one of footballs so called traitors such as Tevez, Torres, V Persie, Fuigo)
I may be completely wrong with all these suggestions and Ronaldo is simply looking to line his pockets with a bigger contract. But am interested to see what other peoples opinions are on the matter on if he would leave and where he would go.

Well look at it another way. During the close season Saints had to have a wee word with Van Persie's agent to gently break it to Robin that Saints weren't interested in his abilities - and look how that annoyed him..?

Ronaldo is just pee'd off that THE CLUB has just come back into a league and once again given it a substance and purpose, and he's not living the dream. Perfectly understandable really. All the gold in the World won't make up for him not being a Saints player. He stuck it at ManU for four years after we left the PL, but it wasn't the same. Better to go and get some money overseas. Now we're back and he's hurting. Who wouldn't be..?

I suppose if his agent asks nicely, we'll give him the once over. But I would have thought his chances were slim, at his age. Ramirez just scraped in, because he's 21, and you could see he was grateful.

The most popular suggestion is that he is unhappy at no longer being the best paid player in the world. Ronaldo earns €13m a year at the Bernabeu - which works out at £215,000-a-week. That puts him behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is on £240,000-a-week after signing for Paris Saint-Germain, Wayne Rooney's £250,000-a-week at Old Trafford and the world's highest earner - Samuel Eto'o - who reportedly earns £330,000-a-week at Russian club Anzhi.

Good thing footballers wages have not started to spiral out of control then. Would like to think José Mourinho would not cave to such childish behavior but feel the board may give in due to the ludicrous way they brought him to the club.

I still can't believe Rooney earns £250,000 a weak. What a horrible, horrible waste of money

Money money money. Other Real players have been offered improved contracts recently and he hasn't (reportedly because they can't afford to, imagine!), end of story.

    He won't leave though.

He could really go somewhere out of left field and join Arsenal.

He is the best player in the world, I would love it if he came back to England, even if it was for Man U

The new 52% tax in Spain also may have something to do with it. If he does leave (don't think he will) then look at Russia. Sooner or later a Russian side WILL win the champions league, the league is awash with money and there are pretty lenient tax laws. Either there or he joins a Chinese team (Drogba gets £300,000 a week don't forget).

Surprised Dubai have not started to flash the cash. They have won the rights to the world cup and have started to build multiple stadiums. Could see a west ham approach of trying to buy them after the world cup has finished. Only problem i can see is that they might struggle to fill the stadiums and get enough teams in such a small location.

He's only partly motivated by money. Too young to go to a footballing backwater, so will probably stay where he is or go to Man City. Can't stand him myself.

Ronaldo does nothing but cry in front of the camera's and shows off on TV.

Now he's complaining because he's only on £200K odd a week!!! Don't feel sorry for him!
