    Sky Sports News has reported Chelsea have made a bid for highly-rated Anderlecht striker Romelu Lukaku. The club value him around £20million.

    He has been previously linked with a host of European clubs but its thought Chelsea have launced a formal offer.

    Now, I was thinking. With Jovanovic possibly going to Anderlecht, should we offer a cash + player deal for Lukaku?

    Agreed he might be a gamble, but I reckon for around £10m-14m + Jovanovic it would be good business.

    Agreed this is probably unlikely to happen, but KK did say new arrivals depend on players going out.

    So, would you take him? And if you did, would you sell N'gog?

    He is highly-rated but I honestly cannot see Anderlecht accepting £14M and Jovanovic. Anyway, I still feel that left-back is the position we need to improve and I would prefer it if we sorted out the left-back position before going out and buying another striker.

    I haven't seen much of the lad but would he get ahead of Suarez and Carroll? If he didn't, would he be prepared to be a back-up striker?

    <ok>

    To be honest i don't know a great deal about him. If we managed to get rid of Jovanovic as part of the deal then bring it on!

    The goal they've been showing on SSN all day surely cant be his best highlight!

    He'll probably be a back up striker at Chelsea anyway. But i agree we need to strengthen our defense first <ok>

    Like Skylarker said, he would be back-up striker at Chelsea anyway so that wouldn't be a problem.

    Although a problem would be that he apparently supports Chelsea

    He's a big lad and quick for his size, will be a handful for any defence. Don't see him coming to us though.

    His basically miles ahead of any player in his age range in terms of his physical abilities.

    Not wholly convinced he's actually the 'new Drogba'. Am always wary of young players, particularly those of African descent, who stand out at a young age largely due to physical attributes. Especially as Raul put it, in that 'tin pot' league!

    Also since i imagine Jovanovic is going on a free, how are we going to knock £4mil off Lukaku's price?!

    Whoa!!! Lukaku, Torres, Sturrage, Drogba, Anelka AND Kalou. Considering one of them cost £50m and can only play up front by himself thats quite an amount of strikers
