He has signed until the end of the season. Looks like more competition for Ainsworth.

I thought he looked good against Brizzle when he came on and also looked fairly sharp at Edgar Street. Still want to see Lionel starting again though!

I agree, Lenny. Sawyers certainly has potential and can offer something a bit different but it is asking a lot of a very inexperienced player to come in and make a difference at this stage in our very tough league. What is the story with Ainsworth? Is he carrying an injury or is he not putting the effort in in training? I think we should know because, with the sun on his back at the start of the season, he was our most dangerous and creative player. If we could get him back to that form Collins would prosper even more.

He's not injured as far as I know, I assume GT is not happy with either his attitude, quality of play in training, or the fact that contract negotiations led to limiting his playing opportunities.

Sawyers was late to match for getting stuck in the M6 jam the same as Grandison, hence Ainsworth on the bench last night.
