Rolling Stone's fool proof formula says 10 points every two months until March will see us safe and able to relax throughout April and May.....and I love it!

Taken another way, 8 points every two months will see us safe, so where are they coming from....????

    This is what I think....

    Aug/Sep (6 games)...Villa (h) 10pts

    Oct/Nov (7)...Fulham (a) Blackburn (h) Chelsea (h) Spurs (a) Man City (h) Stoke (a) Norwich (a) 6pts

    Dec/Jan (9)...W.Brom (h) L/Pool (a) Man U (h) S/Land (h) Swansea (a) Arsenal (a) Norwich (h) Newca (a) Wigan (h) 12pts

    Feb/Mar (9)...Villa (a) Wolves (h) Blackburn (a) Fulham (h) Everton (h) Bolton (a) L/Pool (h) S/Land (a) Arsenal (h) 8pts

    Apr/May (7)...Man U (a) Swansea (h) W.Brom (a) Spurs (h) Chelsea (a) Stoke (h) City (a) 7pts

I make that 43pts and another season with the big boys!

Mmm,all looks very easy when you lay it out like that, don't think it will be quite that simple though.

Good forecast JoeyR. Nice and conservative too.

Allowing for draws, we can all see even more points in there if we're lucky.

Reckon that luck's gonna come through Tony and Amit. Unlike us they won't be looking for 17th - I'm sure Air Asia (official partner of Queens Park Rangers) would prefer to be associated with a prem team a touch higher than basement.

Got a feeling that unless something goes badly awry (anyone seen Paladini lately?), Christmas for us will find its way into the new year this time. Just a feeling...

Of course Cayman, and another anchor man of some description. But the way I'll put it to Santa is a bit more all round strength in depth...

Now I've got to work out how to be a good boy like Joey and Adel for the rest of the season. HELP!!

Brix, I'm not looking for 17th either - however, should my fairy godmother turn up now, wave her wand and offer me either a) a dance with a prince whilst wearing glass slippers; b) a ride in a carriage that smells suspiciously like pumpkin; or c) 17th on goal difference guaranteed - I'd take the last one, and forego the chance to skip in seethrough shoes with seeds stuck to them.

I don't think my ticker could take 17th on goal difference! I'd like us safe by Easter (or before)...

I'd like to think if we're not on target to stay up by Xmas Tony and Amit will certainly be splashing the cash in January. The last thing they'll want is us being one-season wonders!!

Maybe in a perverse kind of way, Fenandes needs to feel that. It is imperative for us to get good signings in the transfer window

I thought I'd resurrect this a year later, partly out of vanity, but mainly because perhaps I was ahead of my time.
Last year we didn't quite keep to 10 points every couple of months, but this year, 25 points at Christmas with the aim of getting to 40 with a month to spare is still possible, despite what the doom-merchants maybe preaching after last Saturday.

To finish the season with 45 points, clear of the drop and the last day tension would do me just fine. And I think we will have the squad to do it.

Problem is all the predictions last season were tosh. We failed miserably against fellow strugglers and beat teams we were expected to lose to. As I stated earlier on this thread I'd like us to safe before Easter and the key to that will be beating teams in the bottom half and better away form...

Simples. We're staying up boys! That was easy. We don't need to play them now. I'll let the FA know :D

This season may well look glum until October, but I think October/November could be kind to us...
