Paddy Power is often on talkSPORT and you can tell when he's asked about certain odds he's just plucking them out of the air half the time, God knows how he's made it as a bookmaker but he has.

Interesting to see those stats even if obviously they don't tell the whole story... When it comes to relegation, there is lots of chat about the 3 new comers plus Villa and Sunderland. I don't think any team outside the top 6 is a bolted on certainty for safety in this league.

Agree with that, but it will always be the same with the pundits and the bookies before the season starts.

What a load of **** that is. It says nothing other than "The teams near the bottom are likely to struggle, along with the promoted teams" They have done no work other than a bit of basic maths! And I gave them a page view! God dammit.

Being a pundit is one of the easiest gigs in town, money for old rope. None of them dare stick their necks out and they come out with the same old pap year in year out, promoted sides favourites for relegation etc. I bet none of them forecast Southampton or Swansea to do well last season or Newcastle to do so badly, that would take some guts.

Thing is Thurnby, you have to look at it from their POV - they want people betting lots and then for the bets to all fail... So I'm sure the bookies would be delighted if everyone put big money on the promoted three going down only for them all to stay up. The worst thing for a bookie is everything going as expected.

Bookies are toads. Due to my location I access the sky sports network site for sports updates, and every article, report or info is followed by skybet intel to get punters hooked.

Can't argue with any of that Rob. Although I was having a dig at pundits as opposed to bookies.
