In trying to make sense of how balanced the squad is and identify the gaps, I've come up with what I think is the latest status of the squad, based on the comings and goings over the last 11 months. As it stands - on Sunday 19 July - here's how I think the squad has evolved to. As ever, if I've missed any glaringly obvious players, just post them up! I reckon this will leave us with 2 goal-keepers, 8 defenders (seems a bit light), 9-10 midfielders (depending on who stays and any fresh arrivals), and just 3 attackers. Note that I've not made any allowance for players who can play in more than one position. Any thoughts?
Wonder if we will sign either of the trialist who went on tour...one of them was a big centre half. I think there was another EDS player with the first team Comley....and the EDS goalie Lumley is also looking good too. So I hope we won't mis McCarthy. Gonna be an interesting week
Every week at QPR is interesting. We are at the cutting edge of reality. We make Days of our Lives and The Bold & the Beautiful, look tame.
Thanks for all of the corrections - here's the latest roll call, based on the current squad - as it stands 3 weeks before the opening match away to Charlton Athletic.
If fer , Phillips and Austin stayed with one more quality defender and winger that would be a championship winning squad by a long way , think of the payout with going up , why dosnt the management just roll the dice keep the lot of em get em playing and smash the **** out of the championship next season .... Too much of a risk ?
Nice one sku, but do you think you may have too much time on your hands? Blimey, I'm not THAT thorough and meticulous over everyday things that really warrant that attention to detail.
