Lando plays the team game with some crocodile tears about ruining piastri's maiden win.

Lando didn't ruin anything. The team totally ballsed the whole thing up by not just pitting Oscar, or not prioritizing Lando with the outside chance at a title run. Dragging this crap out is only making a ridiculous situation for the team even worse.

I feel like I'm the only person on the planet with this opinion atm, but the whole thing was a cluster of their own making. And honestly, I couldn't give a monkeys who wins between the two Macca drivers so long as the gap to Max is coming down.

No but the team have told him what to say and he said it.

He didn't mean it but he still said it

Belgium is a track I expected Max and Red Bull to crush everyone. Resurfaced, high speed, rewards aero efficiency.

FP1 looked liked he’d win from the back of the grid.

FP2 and he looks like he has his work cut out against McLaren.

Mercedes absolutely nowhere and Ferrari actually quite respectable on long runs.

    An odd day!

The brat looks like he has his work cut out against McLaren ,to quote Top Class.

Rain means cold track and means green track so mercy look like they have the best shot.

Verstappen will start from at best 11th.

So it'll be perez beside verstappen then.

They all seem to want to get out early here

    Shock pole for perez?

Rain looks heavier now on the start finish.

Hamilton is not far off though.

This could be down unless Hamilton gets in and out quick...

    Le clerc from nowhere!

Perez returns to being crap after pulling one good lap from nowhere.

    Hamilton will be third.

Max really is something else in the rain. Absolutely miles clear every single lap.

McLaren looked better in the dry yesterday, hopefully they can get back to that pace tomorrow, otherwise Max will pass 10 cars in 10 laps.

Yes - one of those ridiculous performances like Senna or Schumacher used to produce, where there’s just a gulf in class between one driver and the rest.

Should be interesting tomorrow - lots of drivers out of position and potentially a range of setups on the cars.

Lando... Seriously? What on earth was that start.

He just doesn't have the mentality to be a champion. Increasingly thinking McLarens future is Piastri.

Perez road blocking to spoil the race and give the brat a chance to undercut with early stop here.

McLaren et al all sleeping here, I think they should pit Piastri early because track position and clean air and he’d be away and gone IMO

Piastri makes it work anyway. Very good effort in the traffic.
