The man who brought us Roland Rat is taking over the FA, well hey ho! can't wait for refs in fancy dress, and the Clangers at half time.

Expect to see Brentford get a lot of preferential treatment...

Greg Dyke is a top man. Shouldn't have been fired from the BBC, would have run it better than Mark Thompson.

Burnley might bear the brunt of him getting his own back on Alistair Campbell...

So any ideas how you might expect to see him improve the FA?

Disciplinary appeal procedures, appointing England managers, introduction of goal line technology, media relations, combating racism. No idea what Dyke's view on any of this is, but I would trust him more than Bernstein or any of his predecessors to represent English football.

My brother was friends with his son at school, he can expect me to pop over for a "chat" if we get screwed over by his organisation :D

  9. Well, he's never been a 'yes man' so I am confident that he would be able to ruffle a few feathers in that ridiculous organisation. But for all his 'geezer' front, he will not have got into the positions he has over the years without playing politics either. So it will be interesting to see which side wins out.......

At least, the bar is set so low that he won't have to do much to make a decent impression!!

So that's why Rio Ferdinand was recalled - before deciding the best way of recovery for a back injury is to take an eight hour flight to Qatar to commentate on the games, before taking another eight hour flight back - he reminded the new FA chairman of his previous job...
