Alex Bruce, son of former Sunderland boss Steve, has launched a scathing attack on the club's fans following their 1-0 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday. Bruce Jnr took to Twitter to point out that the result had condemned the Black Cats, who replaced his father with Martin O'Neill earlier this season, to a 14th place finish in the Premier League, four places lower than 12 months ago. "Sunderland finished 14th....... Funny old game!! Last year they were 10th," wrote Bruce, in a thinly veiled attack against the club. His tweet evoked a furious response from one Black Cat fan, @ryanyids, who responded: "What's that supposed to mean Steve would of relegated them the way he was going!" Minutes later Bruce Jnr, recently released by Leeds United, hit back: "Bollox!! He got sacked after 12 games you's have done worse the last 13 games than he ever did!! But the defender wasn't finished there and he soon aimed both barrels at Sunderland's support for their reaction to Manchester City's late winner at the Etihad Stadium which ended the title hopes of Steve Bruce's former club, United. "Hearing Sunderland fans cheer when City score sums them lot up!! Worry about your own team you were beaten today!!," he wrote. MON 34pts this season, SB 11pts this season - enough said! Now both of you go away and leave us in peace.
Seems he has inherited his fathers talent for being a complete dick head too. **** the pair of fat geordie ****ers. Lol
Let's make our forum a Bruce free zone..we have had enough of them!!Both SB and his son are losers,so why do we want them on our board??They have got nothing to do with SAFC!!
To be fair i've only seen Alex Bruce play twice and that was against Arsenal in the cup and he looked an excellent player. Surprised he has been released! As for his comments, whatever.
i have loads of leeds fans who think he was a right dick.... he was the elmo of the team accept he was always swearing at the ref and making **** challanges and fell out with loads of the team
It had to happen, from some quarter's connected to Bruce. 'Well before I was sacked for being a ****e manager, at least I got the club to tenth'. Well we finished 13th, had Bruce been still in charge relegation cert's. Isn't Bruce junior a free agent, actually going nowhere!!
Information is power - opinion is based on emotional perception. A young lad defending hsi dad, who wouldn't? Just a couple of wins more last season and we would have been in Europe possibly keeping thee team that got us there. Not a nice thought.
At least Steve could play a bit. Alex Bruce is ****, and could on;y have a wet dream about playin here. **** off Alex, you dumb ****.
Good job his dad was sacked otherwise we might have ended up with the bugger....... try another grape divvy
