The 620 at Newcastle sees Roker Park running tonight. A bit worried for the safety of him in Newcastle as you have to be for any horse and when he has won their in the past he was booed back into the winners enclosure (honestly). Roker Park has been in terible form and really needs a win to kick start his season so he goes to Newcastle looking for his first win in ages and is estimated at been around a twenty to one short. Hopefully everyone can see what I'm getting at here and it would really cap a perfect fortnight off for me if Roker Park goes there aqnd wins tonight.
like i say joel its been in terrible form and hasn't won for ages but before the derby so had the team worth a small coincidence wager (each way) I reckon
It uused to be a canny horse actually but by the sounds of it, its best days are behind it. I hope it gets a police escort in and out of the racecourse
Booing a bloody horse!! next thing ya naa they will be punching the buggers! PS..I might just have a daft bet on it...As has been said; it used to be a pretty good horse and might just have been held back for bets...
Haven't looked but how old is this Roker Park? Must have been a horse called Roker Park before this one as many years ago me and my mates backed it a few times. Hit a good run of form and won (I think 3 out of 4 at one point) at some canny prices, (40/1..14/1..and 9/1) then went off favourite a few times, There was also a Roker Royale and another one which slips my memory. Get on a little each way. just looked ot up, maybe it was this one. Won 3 in quick succession back in 2009.
More in hope than anything elase MR RA. It would just cap things of perfectly if he wins that race, things have just kept going right since Di Canio came to the club. I have even softened my stance on geordies now because of Dnny Graham. Enjoy the rest of the day and good luck if you back the horse.
http://www1.skysports.com/racing/form-profiles/horse/317765/roker-park Its been placed 12 times out of 43 runs, hasnt raced since October
Took the family there last night mate, and very nice it was too..My wifes favourite Indian restaurant has always been Cafe Spice on Stockton Rd., but she thought that the meal she had last night would give them a run for their money..Mind you, it did knock me back best part of a hundred quid for the five of us, including two who picked from the child's menu, so I would certainly advise people to go Thursday or Sunday when they have the 5 course specials on..
