    Got it in one Monty, born and bred opposite the Walker Shipyards, Bill Quay to be precise, only lived in Cumbria on and off past 25 years.

    RIP Roger.

    Met Roger a couple of times, on the first occasion, l mentioned too him my mams frustration of the Tyne and not the Wear.
    He took mams details and wrote a lovely letter which amounted to a nice apology.

    Despite the fact that Durham is a city and not a town, and is on the river Wear and not the river Tyne canny song
