Yep - he battled a bad drinking habit. When he was on Soccer AM several months back he cut a lonely figure - I even remember messaging a friend talking about him, and I said something along the lines of ''he has lost his love of the game, and doesn't look like someone who will regain it''.
Well, we'll get to see first hand now, as the reports are he's our man till the end of the season. Let's hope he comes with something to prove. Now about that creative midfielder RD, I believe there was a guy in the Mail on Sunday battling a drug habit........
seen his interview. he looks desperate. i'd say give him a chance, but not the glory signing we were all hoping for
This meant little to me, but thought I'd share. Just played football with a massive fan, afterwards he spoke of their signings. He then said Johnson had left wolves and thought he was massive bound. With s glum look I pointed out we had him. He then hyped him up and said he was awesome for them.
Thought this was bit odd. "The manager and I had a brief conversation and he has mentioned that we need experience and an organiser". I assumed he had come as cover for Bikey or Ben Haim. As far as I know he only plays at CB? A bit of a slight to those two and to Buyens in front of them. All three have plenty of experience as does LePoint, while Solly and Wiggins are no longer striplings, so Luzon cannot think much of their combined organisational skills. Maybe an implied compliment to the missing Jackson? I think our problems go a bit deeper than that and come from a lack of goal threat and inability to retain possession higher up the field to give the defence a breather and time to regroup.
