Roger Johnson

    Seems that Roger Johnson is transfer listed following BCFC's relegation. I think he would be an excellent centre back option and hope he will soon be Carrow Road bound.
    Thoughts anyone ?

    Not in a million years, the bloke has been linked with arsenal and Liverpool with a fee in the region of £10mil quoted...

    We could get Andy Johnson, Roger Johnson, Glen Johnson and then with Oli and Bradley we could rename ourselves Paul Lambert and the Johnsons

    Ah. OK. Well £10m plus major wages kind of puts a different complexion on it. So, in your opinion ICHB who should we be getting in at the back ? (all well and good, the Morison's and Vaughan's but personally I'm more nervous about the back 4. Oh and Ruddy a little bit too !)

    Ive always said defence will be an awkward position not only for us to guess who might end up here but who lambert will actually sign aswell.

    I think we need to look at the CB in the championship more than established and experianced CB's cos fees and wages would be alot less and we could actually get more for our money.

    Though its unlikely i would like to see matt mills in from reading, seems a very good player and would fit in well with the sqaud, you compare that to bringing in someone like matt upson who's proberbly on 60-70k a week, is getting on and is not the defender he once was, i know where i would put my money.

    I've always said that are highest transfer fee this summer will proberbly be a CB as its the area need strengthening the most, we will see what happens...

    So if Lambert agreed in principle to sign all these players.....would it then be a Johnson's pledge ?

    Lambert does have previous with signing players with the same name.

    Who can forget the League one radio highlights with russell martin, daryl russel and chris martin. Confusing.

    With the Martins, the Johnsons, Declan Rudd and John Ruddy we could rename ourselves the "Ruddy Martin Johnsons" and everyone would think we were the England Rugby team!

    My personal (achievable) targets for CB would be as follows:

    Matt Mills (Reading)
    Wes Morgan (Forest)
    Luke Chambers (Forest)
    Jonathan Spector (West Ham)
    James Tomkins (West Ham)
    Liam Ridgewell (Birmingham)
    David Wheater (Bolton) This one is pretty unlikely as he hasn't been there long, but I really rate him - top player.
    Danny Collins (Stoke) Again, probably just out of our league.
    Matt Kilgallon (Sunderland)
    James Collins (Villa) Again, probably just out of our league.
    Dedryk Boyata (Man City)
