After securing a third win in a row and seemingly scoring from all over the pitch do we need to spend 6m on another striker especially when we have Barnard to come back in??? I personally think 6m is way too much for any of the above.
Yes we do - this is going to be a long season with injuries and suspensions aplenty so lets get the best we can afford to maintain the push for the premiership
i think we need a CB, a striker would be nice, but we still have barnard to come back (court permitting of course) but we do have goal threats from midfield also, add this to Doble to call upon once back from loan if needed i think we are fine for attack, like a say a CB is needed and an additional striker would be a bit of a luxary
How can you say Connolly probably won't stay fit, he's been fit for ages, just wasn't selected enough last season untill the last few games. We have Lambert, Guly, Barnard, Connolly and even De Ridder can play up there. Of course I won't mind if we sign a striker I just think a centre back is more important.
We need both. We'll get the crap kicked out of us if we keep going like this and then we'll be in trouble.
If you get players like Delaney and Bowyer kicking his legs from under him he is bound to pick up a few bruises.
I think theres room for one more signing, but I hope we don't buy one of these big name-big price players. Continuity is the most important thing, & it shows.
A CB was deemed by many (including me) before the start of the season to be more important - Seaborne and Martin have done very well, but one more would not go a-miss.
Man speaks sense, yes we doing bloody brilliant now but i few injuries/suspensions at the front back will look thin!
Our present form shows that we don't need to invest in an expensive player, we need quality back up for the inevitable injuries/suspensions that Adkins can integrate into the team.
You know what..? I'd consider seeing how the rest of the window goes, and if nobody pops their head above the parapet, on our terms, then end the interest until January. Don't unbalance the present squad. It's not worth it.
It will be hard for any player to get in this team at the moment. De Ridder and Fox must be champing at the bit.
rather buy a cheaper foreigner than sign any one of those for £6million. ridiculous price tag. makes chambo look like a good deal!!
