I know lots of managers like to take former players to their new clubs but this is getting ridiculous and must admit I am leaning towards agreeing that there does appear to be an inability to find "fresh" talent!
Christ. De Vries, Sinclair. Allen, Siggy, Borini, does Brendan actually do anything bar poach ex players?
Afternoon lads, Liverpool fan here. It's certainly an interesting story! At the moment, we've got 4 senior goalkeepers on the books (Reina, Doni, Jones & Gulacsi) and after that, it's younger lads from the academy. Nobody knows what's happening with Doni. Didn't go on our pre-season tour to America and there is no news on a potential injury. Jones doesn't fill me with the greatest of confidence having only played a few games for us. (Including our F.A Cup semi-final!) If both of those went, then as the article says, we probably would be looking to improve the goalkeeping department. However, I think this story doesn't hold much substance. Personally, I think the only reason he's been linked because he's played for Rodgers before and that is about it!
I have to confess that Brendan Rodgers has approached me and some of my mates to switch allegiance and to support Liverpool. He initiated the clause in my contract for 10 pints of lager and a curry !! Should I hold out for more ?
Clearly Rodgers is clean out of ideas! Can't see him making Christmas............................ please log in to view this image
Christmas? September 23rd is the key date for him. If he tries playing tippy-tappy with a squad who are not used to it he will be humiliated in front of the Kop when Man U win 5-0. The Scousers won't stomach that
Dorus may as well sit on the bench at Anfield as sit on the bench at Molineux, but SURELY he must want to go somewhere where he is first choice keeper. He's now in his goalkeeping prime.
