Their base brand of football is superb and given a couple of flair players upfront they are a top ten team Credit where credit is due ... its this simple we were better prepared and contained them with ease ... they knocked that ball around very well ... and i can't knock that as it breeds one thing confidence ... they just haven't the quality up front yet ... we are talking about Danny Graham . as for the water carrier Britton .. outstanding player and makes them tick ... he went off it fell apart ... You can give Graham more supply, and I'm sure he'll knock a few more in, but thats not the issue Ash, Graham is limited with his game, and hence why I have always referenced him against Borini, and all season I've been reading similar quotes as above, too many to list, but lets call a spade a spade aye, we are poor up front, neither Sinclair or Graham have really cracked this level yet, and maybe next year they will, but we really do need our own Yakubu next season!...................
yakubu will be on £2m-£3m a year at least, graham maybe a third of that. its a question of supply at the moment and i can see parallels with kenny miller at cardiff, he doesnt get many chances and though he's a good striker, the 4-5-1 means he has to drop deep and do alot of his work outside the box..... who could be the next yakubu? maybe pick up a player from one of the relegation candidates? you can be sure a proven PL performer will probably take up most of the tranfser kitty if you go down that route....

What wories me is ,only Wolves Wigan and Stoke have scored less goals.So something needs to be sorted all round, from the finishing to the distribution, i personally wouldn't lay all the blame on Graham, if he had more ball supplied he'd hit a few more, but negative possesion isn't helping him ,we can hold onto the ball all day but if we dont get it to the strikers,then they become a little redundant
Bongo we have lost our pace down the wings, Rodgers is starting to play chess with football, and it's slowing us down, we need to get back to the Martinez offencive game, and start using the pace of Dyer and Sinclair to drop ball into the box for Graham and Siggy, and Joe needs to be there too! Swamp I'm not advocating paying Prem prises for a Yakubu, just we need to find one ASAP for next season, trust me, we will be a different team! Agree with us loosing our pace down the wings, were just not attacking the full backs and taking them on. They go to the 18 box then backwards, Sinclair tried it when we were 3-0 down v QPR bit late then!!!!
just as i have been saying....danny is not for us and im glad we are looking for a better more suited striker for next season. Its time to slap in a transfer request danny boy if you want regular football as you will be a bit part player in 4 games time and rightly so.....great championship player at best but the premiership has proven a step up to far, you will get the odd goal but so would any striker but as a main no1 striker then its far to much of an ask and that is not your fault at all, you tried your best and thats all you can do ,,,,we cant ask for more if its not in you...good luck if you go im sure you will do well in the championship and if you dont then enjoy the bench...

Not really bothered what QPR fans think, no wonder the Norwich fans can't stand them they're the most horrible bunch of cocks I've come across this season and I hope they go down because of it. I think our fans know more about our team than they do and we all know what's wrong at the moment.
danny has proved without any shadow of doubt that he is not right for us, zero goals in 10 matches and rodgers accepting we need a better striker.....i rest my case.....individual players dont concern me if you cant do the job then im sorry you will be replaced ....end of story. he is just another player passing through and his time is up.....if he wants to stay then thats ok by me but he will be a bit part player at the very best next season...thats life im afraid we are not a charity we are a football club and you have to be good enough and danny boy has had all the opportunities to prove himself and he is failing every game.....move on is his best bet and i thank him for his effort but we need much better if we are serious about a long term future in the premiership because its goals that count and not how much running about you do.....
where has rodgers said you need a new striker? he's in the top 20 scorers in the premierleague btw, balotelli and dzeko have only 3 more goals, each cost between £20m-28m. zamora hasnt scored as many but will be on far more than zamora and cost more, overall i'd say grahams been quite successful in his first year in the league...and balotelli probably has about 10 times more chances per game too..
