According to this it's around £4m (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17599126). Way too cheap in my opinion. Should be at least £10m. Would have thought after all of the issues we've had with managers we would have learned to put in an adequate compensation clause. Thoughts?

I'm hoping albeit a little pessimistically going on past history, that contingencies have been put in place

not if he has a clause that says he can walk away for a big club im not and indications suggests thats what he has. why would he say i will ask spurs for compensation if it was a fore gone conclusion. so not out of the question is it. i hope not and spurs if the deal is on will give us something in the region of £1-2 million for him but lets be clear here if that clause is in bucks contract then they really dont have to give us anything.

heard him on the radio this morning, he said something along the lines of, its speculation, i'm enjoying my time here at swansea, its a smashing wee club and will not disrespect either tottenham or swansea by discussing speculation..about transfer funds, he said, the club has been in serious financial trouble in the past, so i understand why they will be reluctant to spent big money, but to be competitive in this league you need to invest money. he said between 3-4 players would be brought in.

i heard him , he wont say anything about the spurs job yet, he is not denying it either, its the right way to go about it while we have 7 games left, once the seasons over and we find out what harry is doing then we will know. what we do know is that rodgers is the no1 candidate for the spurs job if harry goes....

Superswan you talk as if Rodgers has gone already, but he is our manager, redknapp is the spurs manager! He has not left that job, he hasn't been offered the England job yet! It's crazy talk this Brendan is not talking about the spurs job and so on, nobody knows what is going to happen at the moment.

And I don't think that the FA know if he will go, levy wants to keep redknapp and the swans wants to keep Rodgers , until anything is confirmed at the end of the season it's as Rodgers says speculation only.

This speculation affected Spurs (until the game against us) so let's hope it doesn't affect us. Lots of hysteria imo.

I agree with knackered (Aussie). Brendan is not the number one target for Tottenham Hotspur. Although if he is offered the job he will accept it. If that is the case there will be adequate compensation pursued by the board and in turn they will appoint someone who will improve our footballing philosophy. We will still be in the premier league next year and will continue to improve. In a club such as ours managers are the same as players, let them move on and we will continue to build. It is hysteria to suggest that our success is due solely to our manager.

Mourihno will go to spurs,he's out of work at the end of the season,Man citeh don't need him Man,ure will want more loyalty then he can ever offer(when sir Alice retires) The Scouse could do with him,His arrogance won't allow him to go back to Chelski and i think he would love another London club just to rub Abramovich's nose in it

*out of work either sacked if he fails in the champions league or walking if he wins it

I've read , more than once , that the figure is 5 million . The buy out clause just means there allowed to talk to Buck & if Buck decides to go then they have to talk to the team about money Dai .

valley....how can you possibly say i talk as if buck has already gone to spurs.<doh> when iv said more than once that only buck and harry and the clubs would know the facts........dont you think if none of this was true that buck would come straight out and squash all the speculation for the good of the club????? if you listen to him he will cleverly choose his words and not mention what is happening and he dont deny the speculation either.....

This is the latest i can find and it still gives no definate indication what is really going on......hope to continue is a good quote....

    ..
Rodgers is refusing to read too much into such talk, despite being flattered by it, and insists that his full focus remains locked on his duties in South Wales.

"I take great satisfaction in my job here and it's nice and humbling whenever people are saying nice things about you, but for me there are many great managers at this level," he told Sky Sports News HD.

"My only concentration and focus is on our next game and trying to make sure that we can maintain the standards that we have set all season.

"When you do well, the players, the manager, the club - people are looking to the model of Swansea City now off the field and wondering how can a club with limited resources do so well? Everyone gets that attention, not just the manager.

"Our chairman has done a brilliant job here, he's been incredible in the last few years. But what's most important at Swansea City is the club's success.

"I love it here. I have been here a couple of seasons and we have had success here. There is always gossip and speculation, which you can't do much about, but I love it here and hope to continue

Why should he do anything when the pundits, papers and some fans it seems think he is already practically signed for spurs, even though they already has a manager who could stay. It's disrespectful to assume this, that is Brendan speaking.

I heard that Spurs' number one choice would be Mick McCarthy, so I think we'll be ok.

i hope its anyone other than brendan for at least a couple of seasons yet, but if he goes then he goes and we move on, thats football and it happens all the time that managers come managers go but the club and the fans stay....

I completely agree with the statement above but a few posts earlier you were sure he was the first choice for Spurs and furthermore he would go to them for free! You are an odd one Dai.
