I didn't manage to hear the whole piece but on Talk Sport this morning they were reporting that all future signings at Liverpool would have to be vetted by a committee of sorts.

Now, as I remember it, Rodgers wasn't prepared to take the Liverpool job at first because there was talk of him working under a Director of Football. It meant he wouldn't have total control and only took the job, eventually, when he was assured he would have.

It seems to me that Liverpool are now backtracking slightly on that understanding, if I heard correctly. It also implies that they are not 100% confident with Rodgers' dealings in the transfer market. I wonder if this is anything to do with the rumoured signing of Ash, which has made the natives restless to say the least.

If anyone else heard the whole thing, I would be interested to hear more about it; and I am only posting here because of Liverpool's purported interest in Ash and, to a lesser extent, Vorm.

If this is true, however, I wouldn't imagine that Brenda would be best pleased.

Rogers likes to be in charge - can't see him being happy with that arrangement. Having said that, any signing he made at the Swans would have to have been vetted/approved by the Board.

Ivor, there obviously not impressed with the signings of Allen and Borini, and must be ****ting themselves if he goes for Ash and Vorm. Wouldn't be surprised if he went for Sinclair as well.:emoticon-0116-evilg

If true, this would be in-line with the "it isn't greener on the other side" syndrome that's hit just about everybody that leaves the club. Robinson, Trundle, Sinclair, Scotland, Britton, Prateley, DeVries ..... even Allen (who hasn't exactly enamored himself up there) and now .... OMFG can it really be happening .... Brenda. Just can't believe it .... where's the post archive - I'm sure, yes I'm pretty sure I did, warn on Brenda's departure that the Boston Boys were only going to give him so much rope before a deluge of **** from all things 'Pool came my way.

Is there anybody else I've left out. The only one who left who has done ok for himself has been Sig, but he wasn't ours to start with. And as for Bobby Brown Shoes .... well he spends all his time swimming like **** against the tide ... sooner or later Wigan are going to run out of hope, luck and everything else and he'll be back in the Championship.

  6. When BR joined us, both he and Ayre said they were planning to develop a transfer committee and it was part of the agreement. BR wasn't prepared to work with a DoF and that continues to be the case.

Well it's his bed, so he can enjoy the stretch on it, Brenda that is!......... Yankee you missed out Ricketts, he did well moving to Bolton, and had a good few seasons in the Premiership, though things have gone pair shaped for Bolton last season. As for Ashley Williams, if he goes he goes, no big deal, we always improve the position most times, though I think he'd be making a mistake going to Liverpool, far too much baggage at that club, as Allan is finding out, Arsenal would suit Ash, they have a structure and philosophy far Superior than Liverpool!...................<ok>

One player who excelled and did a marvellous job after leaving the Swans was Dimitrios Konstantopoulos <rofl>
