http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...gh-14m-Birmingham-defender-Roger-Johnson.html Are they for real
Sunderland have enquired about Birmingham’s Roger Johnson — and have been quoted a £14million fee. Johnson, 28, has 12 months left on his contract. that's just taking the piss
Nah, tonight maybe! Like yourself Syd, I have a dog requiring Saturday morning exercise and he wouldn't appreciate a drunken owner showing him up in-front of his future conquests!
Good player but no way would we pay £14m for him. However I can't blame Birmingham if they tried to hold out for that when you hear the silly money being quoted for Ryan Shawcross and Gary Cahill.
Silly money indeed, but it's the future of transfers unfortunately. Take the way Spurs do business, they buy a player for x millions and get a few years service out of him, and when it comes to sell him as a minimum they demand the x millions they paid for him back. Look at how we value our players, (Catts, Henderson) we want top dollar for them and refuse to sell for less. It's so annoying for the buying club but in this climate every hundred grand can be vital either way it makes for an interesting summer.
At that price I'd tell them to go **** themselves. Would be funny as **** if nee **** bought him & he ****ed off for nowt at the end of next season.
The player has the say in this as he only has 12 months on his contract which means he can go for nothing next year. We can make a £5m take or leave it bid but i do like the lad
