One thing about Rodney Modney - he could pick a song (most people didn't know) and make his cover version almost into the 'definitive' version: (Danny Whitten) (Tom Waits)
Chazz mate, ffs don't forget to take a lighter so you can hold it up in the air and sway gently to 'Sailing'. Edit: ****! Chazz, don't forget to wear ya tight tight and tighter pink pants for ' Do you think I'm sexy'?
Theres no doubt he went ****e but Rodneys got/had one of the great rock voices. Stay With me is a classic. So's this
Pleased to say it sold out a long time ago. Pleased because the bloke who underwrote it and is giving money to charities has been vindicated. The HDM was full of the usual small time crowd predicting it would be a flop and a money loser. A shame the SMC or the council can't show the same initiative.
I heard James Deacon head of the SMC on RH, came across well, he was very positive about what they are going to do with the KC and get more concerts in.
Good. Remember all the posts in theHDM saying that only a few pensioners would go to see him and it would be a flop? Listing acts they thought would bring more in ( which in most instances they wouldn't have). Wish I had kept a copy of a few of them.

He pretends he is Scottish. In his time he was excellent. Saw him with Steampacket in the 1960s.with Long John .Baldry, Brian Auger and others. Wouldn't go now, for the same reason I wouldn't go to The Stones, Van Morrison or the few others left alive that I like as I prefer to remember them as they were in their prime.
