It would seem that about three years ago, as a direct result of a tough military offensive by Israel, Hamas has largely observed an unofficial truce. Attacks from Gaza since then have, it's said, been mostly at the hands of non authorised hands. Israel does not believe that to be the case. Israeli aircraft have rocketed Gaza killing somewhere in the vicinity of twenty five Palestinian civilian, according to Gaza officials. Israel said that it holds all Hamas responsible for all attacks out of the Gaza. I fully realize that this is a hit for hit campaign, but is Israel's stance on this point valid?
