Thought the Hartlepool match had been cancelled and that we were trying to arrange a game with the Toon instead?

No, apparently it went out on a Press Association news wire but was never confirmed. We're defintely playing Hartlepool, ticket info is on the OWS.

Does anyone know if Rochdale's stadium is easy to get to from the train station? I'm thinking of going but can't really be arsed to drive.

Try their website? Or do internet map search?

I've only ever driven there so wouldn't have a clue if it was close the station I'm afraid

I'm going by bus. You go to the bus station and catch the number 468 to Cemetery Hotel and it's about a 15 minute walk from Sandy Lane to Spotland <ok>

It's not near the station, it's about a 45 minute walk.

Shall have to see how far the train station is from the bus station. Cheers!

Might be a bit like Burnley; but only took me half an hour uphill! Hopefully it'll be worth it. Wonder if Aluko and Proschwitz will both be playing.

From somewhere (?) I've made note of 1st August - Boston (a). Is that a 'behind closed doors'?

    (Or did I dream it?)

There is nothing wrong with a nice pleasant walk for 45 minutes. Unfortunately Rochdale is not a nice looking place so for that reason I will be taking the bus.

The Toon have arranged a game against Dutch side Den Haag for that day/date anyways. The monkey hangers will do for us as i have not been there for a few years. Will be nice to see ex.Tiger Sam Collins play again.

Well hopefully it shall be worth it! As according to football ground guide it's "one of the best footballing days out in the country"... so a 5-0 win will do me as well as a nice pie.

I looked at that guide too, the reviews also recommended a chippy behind the stadium so that's were I'll be having tea. Any day out is a good day out to me so I will be looking forward too it.
