Rules: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/143227-brb-prediction-league-rules-2012-13

brb, takes a brief look back to a past meeting he attended between the two sides and his views at the time: Gillingham 1 - 2 Rochdale Saturday 29th September 2012 I was slightly surprised by the team selection but having missed the previous two home games due to holiday, it was difficult to gauge a fair reflection on it. Rochdale deservedly took the three points today and despite all the Gills hard work and pressing forward never looked to me like scoring a goal from open play. I felt after Barnet away that the score flattered us a little and teams that were a bit more organised and better finishers would turn us over. Rochdale were that team today and very organised at the back, I would not say they were the best up front, however, they kept the ball on the ground far more than the Gills ever managed. Ok, we were down to 10 men, not sure why Jackman was shown a straight red, my view was obscured. I felt within the first 15 minutes we were not making the most of the space or width of the pitch, feeling that Weston needed to be brought on. We were seeing playing in to an area down the right, without being able to press into the Rochdale box, while completely open down the left. Findley appeared to be the best showing down that right side but completely marked out of the game. We kept putting ourselves under pressure with the long ball from Nelson, who otherwise made some fantastic saves and I have great confidence in. However, does Martin Allen not have that same confidence in the ability of our players to keep the ball on the ground and use the entire Priestfield turf? Flanagan was named man of the match another selection that had me slightly dismayed. We had a six point gap at the top before today, which is a great luxury, especially when the defeat was going to come eventually. Martin Allen will pick the players up and I am sure continue our push forward but I will say this, I let someone use my season ticket while I was away that does not often go to Gills games and they said we are not impressive and in fact not much different from previous matches under Hessy. Except Martin Allen has organised us in such a way that it will get us the results, sadly today was not to be one of those days but then I do not believe many other L2 teams will show the same quality as our opposition today. Rochdale 0 v 2 Gillingham (Burton, Birchall)
Rochdale 0-3 gillingham ( kedwell , whelpdale and burton ) they are on a very bad run ATM so very very winnable
Rochdale 0 Gills 0....if we are lucky. And they are on a very bad run????? Our home form is and has been pants!!!!
As it's a bit early for Hoadie's match day thread I though I'd post a few early thoughts about the game on here. This is my 'home' game - I only live about a mile from Spotland - so I've been looking forward to it for a long time. Now the weather is going to play a big part in deciding whether it goes ahead. There's 6 - 10" of snow forecast here for Friday, but the upside is that at least Rochdale know it's coming and so preparations are being made http://www.rochdaleafc.co.uk/news/article/pitch-update-15.01.13-600336.aspx However what isn't known is exactly how much snow is going to fall, and probably more importantly, when it's going to stop. So it's very much going to be a matter of watch this space (or at least assorted web sites), but I would hope that a decision can be made on Friday, even if it's in the evening, so that travelling supporters can have a lie in on Saturday if the worst happens.
Thanks for the info itstimupnorth. All very important and much welcomed info for any travelling supporters
There'snow way the game is happening on Saturday ( I told you the jokes are just as bad in 2013 ) The weather forecast for Friday looks horrendous. Rochdale wont be able to shift the snow quickly enough as more comes down - and the frozen pitch and conditions in thesurrounding area will be factors in any decision. I will be surprised if the Club do not force an early decision on Friday - to prevent the team from another wasted long trip ( as per the York game before Christmas ) - and of course to be fair to the, otherwise, travelling fans. ( looking forward to NOT having to get up at stupid o'clock to catch a coach that will only get turned around again on the M 25/ M1 )
Should the game go ahead I'm going........ Really don't know, I change my mind more often than the weather forecast. Ok here goes. Dale 0 2 Gills (Burton, Birchill) They'll be under a lot of pressure following their poor form and should we get an early goal we could romp it.
I doubt this game will go ahead but here we go this is the score I think it will be if it goes ahead and no signings are made in time for the match. Rochdale 0-2 Gillingham (Burton, Birchall)
