it's a non story. RD doesnt care what happens. he wont want to pay anyone else off. gobbos better off getting sacked so he has a bit of rainy day money.

this doesnt bring the sale of the club nearer in anyway - which is the only real news story that matters.

I think Duchatelet wants compensation from
Oxford. Let’s hope things move quickly.

 

KR signed a contract, his employer can hold him to that contract until the end of it.

If he could prove there were broken promises he could engineer something away. That would take time though, and don't see it going down that route.

 

According to this, Robinson offered to resign but Duchatelet has refused to accept the resignation.

It also says that KR has had enough of broken promises at the Valley.
If that is really the reason then he should walk away on principle, even if his offer to resign has been refused.

Even now in March 2018, very day that passes with Charlton Athletic leaderless and rudderless like this increases the chance that we will be relegated to League 2 at the end of next season.

 

Worth remembering the transfer window is until Aug 9th this summer.

if he resigns then he isn't permitted compensation. He's walking out on his contract.

He could fight for his release and cite broken promises, but chances are something like that would go legal if RD decided to fight - which would leave KR in a position where he wouldn't be able to work for another club. Same as Curbs at West Ham.

You would imagine there are conversations taking place with Oxford today. They haven’t made their “exciting announcement” yet.

 

Mixed feelings from me. I think he’s been worn down and mentally he’s fractured. I think that’s coming across in the players performances.

He works hard, and I don’t think he deserves to be forced out. Another victim of the network but he can also be his own worst enemy.
