What a great start to my subscription when I logged in to Robins TV and was told I had insufficient entitlements to watch the game vs Celtic. My personal page tells me that my subscription expires in July 22 and clearly that allows me to watch all matches covered by Robins TV. I am not exactly thrilled with the service so far and I wonder if I will get a resolution soon or whether my concern will vanish in to thin air.

I can answer this for you and start off by saying this is Bristol City so expect the unexpected.

These games were I believe being packaged as separate stand alone games (of course I could be wrong, but that's the way it looks to me) either £10 a game or £20 for the 3 upcoming pre season games. The pre season games at Ashton Gate will I expect be available and of course probably be outside of the renewal date, so you will probably have renew anyway to watch them (good old BCFC always look after their fans).

So I thought there is only **** on TV I will show willing and buy the £20 package.

And guess what? (and remember this BCFC) the fecking feed is not working there a lot of very angry BCFC fans basically saying the same as me, typical of this club.

My problem is the people within the club must be well aware of the problem but nobody has addressed the issue across any of the clubs platforms to update the fans that paid for these games as to what the problem is.

Still nothing from the club, despite the same complaint on every BCFC outlet.

I even sent an email to Bristol City TV support telling them I had paid £20 for the 3 game package and that along with many others that the link was not working and I received this reply " Thank you for your email.

To subscribe or buy a pre season pass to BCTV+ please click on the following link and follow the instructions on the page once you have selected the package you wish to purchase "

    Very helpful.

Technical stuff like this goes wrong, but surely they were aware and could have issued a statement that they were attempting to deal with it.

No reply or apology yet so I suppose my support wasn't appreciated. Perhaps if I purchased a full season ticket I should expect to arrive at Ashton Gate and be told I can't take mt seat because it has technical issues. Bloody useless and it makes me wonder why the hell I support this lot.

City apologise for Robins TV problem
The online streaming service was affected by a technical problem meaning some fans were unable to watch last night's game

We are aware that some viewers had issues watching our Robins TV livestream for the Celtic game last night and have been investigating this. We apologise and will be contacting those affected directly via email.

Sorry about my surprising comments angelic but you have to realize that I'm just having my first coffee of the day and my brain is still in an unrealistic state. Once my smell buds have woken my brain up then perhaps I will know that the problems will continue with anything Bristol City. <doh>

P.S. Will my apologetic e-mail arrive this year and will I be able to watch any of the games?

He's right in every aspect, they could have acted much faster, which was my major issue.

One thing I will argue about is I tried a different browser from Safari, I tried google chrome and that never worked either, in fact it never has for me.

I was thinking of getting the annual subscription now I have a Gib address.
Perhaps I’ll hold back for a while so these issues can be sorted.

I have always had far more issues with home matches than away matches.

Last year I found it pretty much rock solid.

The site is still telling me me I don't have enough entitlements and won't work. :steam:

To make things worse I just got a bummer e-mail from someone at Robins TV because apparently I am not supposed to reply to the e-mail sent about the lack of service on Robins TV. Forgive me for for thinking that customer service was all about communication but seemingly by replying I have opened up customer accounts for all to see. How on hell was I supposed to know that information before replying and now my e-mail in-box is flooded with user names which I have now deleted.

If I ever needed a reason to drop Bristol City from my memory bank then this incident has been the final straw that broke my back and interest. If you don't want people to reply to your e-mails then don't put automated reply icons at the bottom of the page. I will be trying to cancel my Robins TV account today but expect little support. I don't want to seem a little upset because I am actually absolutely fuming. <steam><steam>:angry:

    Absolute nightmare Mike.
If that was any other type of business I’d never deal with them again. Bunch of unprofessional tossers.
This does however carry on the sad tradition of utterly dire ‘customer’ relations that our club has pursued ever since I can remember.
Fans are a captive market - no effort required

The final straw has been served up by Bristol City. After 2 e-mails complaining that I could login to the main site but was blocked from watching Robins T.V I received a snarky one back saying I had caused problems by replying to their e-mail. I just tried to contact them again but was told that customer service had blocked my mail and gave a link where I could find an explanation as to why I was blocked but I don't ever open up a link like that one.

Essentially it looks like, despite having an annual contract to watch Robins T.V., I will not be able to do so and they are refusing to respond. Absolute shocking service and they are not worthy of an international phone call. What next???

P.S. I suppose it could be a scam!
