Nothing much happening in the news on the BCFC front today. Only the LJ discussion on the Leicester match thread to lighten the mood…..
Matty James makes Leicester point as he assesses Bristol City's progress under Nigel Pearson Bristol City midfielder Matty James has seen first hand the gradual changes that have taken place, on and off the field https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/matty-james-leicester-bristol-city-8782267
At a glance he Probably saw Bristol at the top of the contract didn’t read the next bit, and thought he was re-signing for us
Bristol City's 7 most expensive signings in order from worst to best (Ranked) FLW rank Bristol City's most expensive signings by how they fared for the Robins https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/b...-from-worst-to-best-ranked/#han-noah-massengo That is interesting.
good to see the post ... however FLW are a big bit heavily handed! ... there is no comparison data...... I just recently bought my most expensive Mars bar over the past 8 years they have got more expensive [ and smaller! ] compared to the one I bought in 1967 [ always bought one before the City home game to eat after my half time pie ] it was massively expensive! Also in context we must look back at what CG cost us [ relative to ] when he came back or even how much my namesake avatar cost ..... ETC ETC PS didnt open the FLW site as even if you dont want the cookies you still get some one of a few sites I avoid! In a few years time we will see [ if still alive and kicking ] a similar "FLW TYPE" post on the same lines ... thats what makes life not get boring!
Apart from Fammy I liked the rest.. Some I'm not sure we ever extracted their full potential.. Managers ehh !!!
Speculation about who will be next to jump ship: https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/predicting-bristol-citys-2-next-big-money-departures/
But someone here, only this year said Sam Bell is not championship standard, and needs to go on loan to the first division.

Alex Scott opens up on Bournemouth transfer and 'tough' summer at Bristol City Bristol City sold the midfielder to Bournemouth just three weeks before the transfer window closed after a summer of considerable noise around his future https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/alex-scott-bournemouth-bristol-city-8800035
He’s gone now, I wish him the best, but really I’m only interested in how we do. He’s no longer our player.
Not such a shock move as some thought then? IMO everyone was fully aware that the move would not have benefited towards buying new players as it was all down to wages.....No shock from my thoughts, has to be said!!!!
Only the very naive thought he’d still be here this season. NP knew he’d be gone, what's still unclear if he knew he wouldn’t get any of the money to spend though. I find it hard to believe he didn’t have that conversation with those in power, he’s far too experienced for that to happen. Not looking a good move for Scott or Semenyo right now, one injured, one barely gets a look in at a club headed for the Championship
Sam Bell the one that was not championship standard signs a new deal https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/new-deal-for-bell-2/
