A fee of £24 million has been agreed between Arsenal and Man.Utd,for the transfer of RvP.

He has a medical tomorrow.

Whilst this piece of news does not impact directly on Swansea City,will RvP be the catalyst that triggers a revival in the fortunes of Man. Utd.?

Will they wrest the title from Man City?

I care !! i thought RVP was one of the players being targeted by Laudrup..gutted that it looks like Man utd have got there before us ..sack the board and Laudrup out!! now!!

24 million for Van Persie ...... Wow !! we took Liverpool to the cleaners with Allen is that's what Man U get Robin for IMO .

Carroll costs 35 million but van Persie only costs 24 million! How does that work?

 

Liverpool were involved in the first transfer but not the second if he went there the gunners would have doubled their money

 

Allen - 22 years old - 4 year contract
RVP - 30 years old - 1 year remaining on contract

thats why there is only 9m in it - plus its liverpoo paying.

Arsenal are my other club, along with the swans - and this hurts - alright = im not local to london - but i would honestly rather see him join the spuds. If there is one team I absolutely loath - its Y'anited! He will be as much a hated figure at arsenal as rodgers now is at the swans

 

That makes sense Pricy , but Van Persie is awesome & I'll bet he'll be every bit as good the next few seasons . The 15 million spent on Allen is a bit of a risk on a player yet to really prove his worth , especially playing away from Swansea for the first time .

 

I'm glad he want to Manchester United - I hope he gets a few goals against Liverpool.
It just reaffirms that Arsenal are not in the same market as the top teams at the moment. I just think that Van Persie wants to win something before he retires - that seems unlikely with Arsenal doesn't it ?
