Wigan have given him permission to talk to Liverpool, i hope he doesn't go there, i think it will be another Roy Hodgson situation, their fans won't give him the time he needs to build a team, once he gets bad results they will get him sacked.

**** 'em. They're going down the path they chose.

And of course, Martinez has the choice. Whatever he does, I hope it's right for him.

Wigan only finished 9 points behind Liverpool. Is it really worth the aggravation of having to put up with the unrealistic expectations of and ultimately abuse from the Liverpool fans when he could stay at Wigan and wait for a bigger job like Spurs or Chelsea?

I doubt keeping a team up by the skin of its teeth every season will ever raise the awareness of teams like spurs or Chelsea, he needs a stepping stone. Mid Table 'Pool will do just nicely <ok>

    Or preferably, Villa.

I'm surprised Martinez is open to stepping down a level.
