I think he has a point.They're at home, facing us, they're prep. and concentration will be 100%. It's travelling to places like Norwich and Swansea where your expecting to turn up and win, that's when it all goes tits.
I agree, I think (or I'd like to think) that what he meant was that the players are already motivated again United and the prep will be spot on whereas it's harder to motivate a team of superstarts when they're playing against a smaller club.
plus his command of the english language, what he said could have been taken out of context, plus like dave says he meant we're playing united it's a default they don'yt need any other motivation than that, could actually be an indirect compliment!
I think that's spot on. Mind you the same goes for us. Easy to get really up for city, not so easy for Wigan....
Wigan were always going to be our biggest challenge for me. Its the way they play and have played all season. Whereas I think Martinez gets his tactics wrong on occassion as he doesnt change his style. With us its the perfect tactic. Attack us and we dont play. See barca, see balckburn at home, see the EL etc As for mancini, I believe his language skills let him down in terms of what he means. However I think Man City are right to be not worried about us at home
His message seemed very clear, don't think it was lost in translation. City could beat United, they could loose, but motivation won't be a problem against us. But if they aren't up for the Norwich game they could be undone. We see it season after season with Liverpool against us, hell every derby is the same. I think he's spot on and understands the league over here really well.
