I find this absolutely staggering. He's done a great job, if you look at the squad, it's not premier league class, and i don't see them going down, or didn't. Strikes me that there usually stable chairman has hit the panic button here, and i think he may live to regret it. He's not even sacked him, he's on 'gardening leave'. Ridiculous.

I liked Roberto and as a manager, thought his team were very good considering the budget allowed to him, knee jerk reactions seldom work, unless theyve got that bloke from Real Madrid secretly lined up. still a disgrace, but I am sure the vacancy will be filled, by a manager who has always loved The Baggies.or anyother team that suits them at the time, 2011 a great year for disloyalty.............or what?
I watched the whole of their game midweek against Wigan. They play some decent football at WBA and I thought that RDM was doing a really good job there. Regardless of their current league position it seemed to me that he had done a lot to improve the overall profile of the Baggies and sacking him is a retrograde step. From the sound of things they have sacked him without considering his replacement, although the obvious replacement if he's interested (and he will be) will be Allardyce.
Once again a bad footballing decision Fergie or Jose couldn't get more out of what the guy had to work with. Lets not forget they were talking about getting rid of Fergie at Utd in the early days, if I remember correctly one of the turning points was when he brought in a cheap no nonsense defender. A defender who was willing to put his face in where others wouldn't put their boots. Trying to remember his name, Brice? Burce?
I would not have been too bothered about Big Sam if they had somebody else lined up if I was a Blackburn fan. They are still 11th somehow though, I thought they would drop like a stone. Agree the sacking on De Matteo looks harsh, will all depend on who they bring in and if they stay up
