Snodgrass has been sidelined since the opening day of last season when his league debut for the Tigers ended in agony when suffering a dislocated kneecap. A long and arduous rehabilitation has gradually borne fruit with a return to full training last week and now all that remains is for Snodgrass to regain match fitness. Although City are loath to rush the Scotland international back after 15 months out, it is hoped the looming international break will see the last steps back towards the first team made. Monday night sees Tony Pennock's under-21s side host Crewe at North Ferriby's Eon Visual Media Stadium and there is a chance Snodgrass could be involved as a substitute. City are also working to arrange a behind-closed-doors fixture towards the end of next week at the club's Cottingham training complex, offering Snodgrass and several other players the chance to sharpen up fitness ahead of the trip to Bristol City in two weeks. "We're going to try and get something sorted for Robert next week," said Bruce, who has only seen his £7m signing from Norwich make three appearances in City colours. "We think he'll take part in some sort of capacity on Monday. "That's not certain. Maybe he'll have a cameo, like 20 or 25 minutes. "That's something that we're looking at and then there's the opportunity to get something sorted later in the week. "It's been a great two weeks for him, training with us all. "We'll look forward to welcoming him back because it will only give everyone a huge lift." The televised trip to Ashton Gate on November 21 is unlikely to see Snodgrass involved, but a smooth comeback over the next fortnight could see him pushing for a recall in the final weeks of 2015. The Tigers' Capital One Cup quarter-final at Manchester City, a competition where Bruce has used the full depth of his squad, would provide an attractive target for Snodgrass on December 1. Ahead of the 28-year-old are Alex Bruce (hamstring), Curtis Davies (calf) and Sone Aluko (side), who are all expected to be fit for the trip to Bristol City. None of the three were being considered for today's clash with Middlesbrough but the minor problems are due to clear up in time for them to resume full training next week. That would leave just Adama Diomande in the treatment room. The deadline day signing underwent surgery on a groin injury in his first week with City but a slower than expected recovery means the Norwegian is still two to three weeks away from full training. City expect Diomande to be back in time for a hectic December schedule, which will bring eight games inside 31 days up to New Year's Day. http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Robe...tory-28128534-detail/story.html#ixzz3qniOazdA
