Reading are apparently linked with Koren for one last attempt at signing him.

    3 O'Clock At Kempton @thekempton
Reading linked with a deadline day move for Robert Koren. #hcafc

    And from the Mirror:

"HULL midfielder Robert Koren is a deadline day target for Reading boss Brian McDermott - AGAIN.

Retired Slovenia International Koren was also the subject of a bid from the Royals on the last day of last Summer's Transfer window.

McDermott is interested in Brighton's Liam Bridcutt, but will continue his interest in Koren if he fails with a £3.5m bid for Bridcutt.

Koren, who should cost around £750,000, has scored 24 goals in 106 appearances for Hull after joining from West Brom in 2010."

I think it is something SB would seriously consider, but not at that fee.

We'd want more than £1million for him.

I can see this happening if true. I honestly dont see how he's going to fit in the team when Sone is back.

    I think it's something he shouldn't even ponder about while he's having a ****.

We do have a lot of midfielders but can you afford to let a player of Koren's quality go when you're trying to win Promotion?

Unless it's a way in recouperating some spending money.

I agree. I dont want him to go, he could get 5 telling goals from nothing before the end of the season, I just think a) he might want to go and b) we'll consider it.

He's at an age where he may want one last pay day. If we dont win promotion this season, I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave in summer anyway.

IMO, he's too lightweight for a midfield three, and with Sone, Geddo, Prossie, Simpson and possibly DJC fighting for 2 places up top, I can see it being considered.

He's far too good to let go. If he went to Reading, he'd have to displace one of Karacan, McAnuff, Leigertwood (who imo has been outstanding), Akpan, Kebe, Robson Kanu or Danny Guthrie. I would suggest it's just paper talk.

Yeah 750K does seem to ring a bell too much as the release fee that was in his old contract.

It would be funny though IF Koren did go and we passed Reading on the way up as they came down. Lol.

I wouldn't imagine SB would want to lose Koren who is probably our main goal threat in the absence of Aluko.

I agree. Looking at it its a re-hash of an old story. I dont see any of our main players leaving this window.

Stewart and Cullen maybe ?? Why we dont offer them to Port Vale in exchange for Tom Pope i dont know.

Is it just me, or is the only team that would benefit from having RoKo in their team in the Premier League at the moment Aston Villa? Need some creativity and experience in their ranks. Can't see anything in a rumour for him going to Reading.

We should take a shot at getting Pope if the money discussed is accurate, but there's no way Stewart would consider going there - Cullen maybe.

Reports suggest that The Posh have offered £75k for Tom Pope. We could match that and throw in Cullen.

Stewart would be a season long loan only. He has to start at the bottom again,, imo.

    Reports where?

All I've seen is the Posh chairman saying it's a load of bollocks.

    I wouldn't sell Koren.

It's down to him that we had such a good December. We didn't have a striker so he stepped up and scored the vital goals.
