Former Leeds starlet Robbie Rogers has been on Newsnight tonight talking about his experience of being gay in the modern game.
To be fair mate it was a rather interesting interview. He spoke highly of the fans and support for when he came out. He's playing for LA again. Paxman was a bit of a tit trying to get Rogers to out players
OK,fair play, but I really don't see the big deal, Surely there are many gay folks(women and men) who don't have to make such a big deal of 'coming out'.
maybe should have started with that in the first place but the computer I was using has a terrible internet connection so I had to do it as quick as possible buck for it fecked up. He's got a campaign so Footballers can come out 'in safety'. Leeds United are supporting it. Dunno what it's called but it's a big thing in the MLS right now
Ofcourse its big in america. I think its stupid and by making a big deal about it it becomes counter-productive for gays to be accepted. Just get on with it for **** sake, no one cares.
How many have to get naked with with their fellow workers numerous times a week? And please leave SG out of it!
I read about that alright, I think if they come out they get a safety pack which consists of a handbag with a brick in it.........
I was at the gym today, getting changed I thought about what you said,There were other blokes there as you would expect.I wondered if any were gay,I have never ever thought about that before in the gym. One lad came in,was obviously gay,I have seen him at the gym before, but in never crossed my mind to question his sexuality,I couldn't care less. I still don't see what the fuss is about.
I agree Rogers is the one who is making a big deal out of it but he did say that he felt uncomfortable in the dressing room because of the Homophobic jokes and a game of guess the gay.
