Leicester's targets at the moment are very much Victor Anichebe & Robbie Keane #LCFC

    More worryingly is this tweet:

I said last week Southampton will rock the boat for Leicester, I'll develop on it a little more #nickymaynard

We can offer more money and the Sven factor will pay off with Maynard

I would have Robbie Keane but not Anichebe

Yak wants too much money - still wants Premiership wages so that is more or less off.

Aniechibe - meh. Goalscoring record is rubbish but then again he has been playing as a winger most of the time so would be a "in Sven we trust" type of signing.

Keane - was genuinely about to start a thread about him. Would be a very good signing as he is a proper poacher type of player which we need and still has enough in the legs & more then enough in the head to do this division. Would be good for Schlupp too.

apparently wolves are after keane. If true, being an ex player and them being prem would surely appeal to him more.
Shame if we dont get him cos he would be class for us at this level

Schlupp alongside Keane would be perfect.

Keane has a great footballing mind and can still do a Prem job!

Schlupp run the channels with Keane just behind him!

:emoticon-0102-bigsm I´ve edited my post now so you can read it in English if you like. Men can´t do 3 things at once... I hate it when women are right :emoticon-0183-swear

Robbie Keane would destroy this league - no question. If you asked me who to pick to gain promotion in 1 season then i say RK. If you ask me who do you want to hopefully gain promotion and build for the future then i say Maynard.

No one else will do for me!

Problem with Hooper is his contract. He only signed last season didnt he? Would be hard to prize him away i suspect. But a quality player for sure

I think lots of people have had enough of Scotland. The SPL is on the brink of implosion if you ask me. When players like Danns, Miller and Goodwillie prefer to English game then you start to worry. Furthermore if the Celtic fans genuinely beleived that O'Dea was a good player and a great acquisition for Leeds then it speaks volumes about the quality of there league!

The SPL has never been good. If you put Celtic and Rangers in the championship they wouldnt be any better then the rest. They would just be another competitive team

Keane and Maynard would be class, 8m for the pair should do it. Worth doing too, a strikeforce of Nugent, Keane, Maynard, Waghorn, Schlupp and Howard is class.

Schlupp would go out on loan and Waggy may leave if we get both Maynard and Keane

Dont forget the waste of space that is Darius Vassell

You don't think Howard and Waghorn would still be here should in the unlikely event we sign Keane AND Maynard?
Still Keane, Nugent, Maynard, Vassell and Schlupp would be first classs.

I fear he may be still be one of Sven's favourites

If we really want Maynard, which we do, then we could blow Southampton out of the water in terms of fees and especially wages so I'm not worried about that one. As for the two others, it'd have to be Robbie Keane by a country mile - the only problem I can see is wages. I'd have thought he'd be earning around the same as the Yak. Anichebe doesn't really seem up to much and I don't think he's the player we're looking for.

I do think Vassell is a decent squad player and coming off the bench and running at tired legs he could be useful but he hasn't shown enough recently to merit a place in the first XI. I don't think any strikers will leave until someone comes in. If anyone were to go, it'd probably be Waggy/Howard depending on which clubs bid for either player and if any want to leave etc. Also Schlupp might go on loan 'til Jan then come back here.
