Manager Neil Warnock is interested in Tottenham striker Robbie Keane. (the Times) Ruud van Nistelrooy has issued a "come and get me" plea to Premier League clubs after the Hamburg striker opened the door to a summer return to England (Daily Mail)
I'll second that. Keane has done well for the national side over here but his wages are astronomical and his form is Sh**e
Whatever about van Nistelrooy, if we can't aspire to a striker like Keane, we won't last long in the Premiership.
I dunno Ciarrai, he aint the Keano of old. Maybe if he got a good pre-season under his belt he could come back firing on all cylinders.
Please not Robbie Keane a great player a few years ago but I am sad to state is past his best, Van Nistelrooy is an interesting thought.
I would still prefer younger, hungrier players, such as Graham from Watford. I know that we have done well in the past with seasoned players approaching the end of their careers, but I don't see this as the way to go at this moment. I'm sure that the young players would be more in our wage bracket as well.
I would like Graham from Watford but I have been saying that for a year Graham will be leaving Watford but I think quite a few premiership clubs will be interested
van nistelrooy is we could get him on the cheap is certainly an interesting proposition, i'd still rather see us go for crouch and/or graham
Both on their day were awesome. Unfortunately both have been past their best for a while now, on top of that they both tend to get injured for long periods. We need to spend wisely so I wouldn't touch either.
