In todays fail,Warren Joyce is singing the praises of the on loan winger, and our club as a great place to send players out on loan. However,Phil Buckingham is of the opinion that United will be unlikely to entertain the idea of a permanent switch in January. Do we agree ?
I don't think we'll get him on a permanent in Jan, though I full expect the loan to be extended until the end of the season and we might give it a go in the summer.
It's strange but we might have a better chance of landing him on a permanent if his form really dropped off and SAF decided he wasn't worth keeping, but then would we want him?
Brady has a lot to prove yet. We can all see the talent he has but in terms of being a rounded performer he still has a way to go. He would currently be nowhere near good enough for the Premiership.
Joyce's glowing reference of the club will no doubt put us in a good position to extend Robbie's loan until the end of the season in January but i can't see us sealing a permanent deal, at least not until the Summer anyway. With the likes of Young and Nani ahead of him it's not like he'll be getting first team football at United, so an extension to his loan switch would suit both parties.
SAF let us have Chester, Evans and Dudgeon without much of a fuss, and Stewart was playing really well in the same way as Stewart was when we got him on the cheap. I think unless they are on loan at a PL club while they're still quite young (like Welbeck and Cleverley), Man U don't really need these players.
A lot of Man U players went out on loan to get experience, then went back to Man U, played a few first team games and then finally got sold.....could be the same with Brady...I just hope we're first in line when they do sell. Still I think Stewart's return will be a massive bonus.
I still think we could get him in January,i mean what the f88k does Buckingham know ? I agree with Strovolos that he is not the finished article, but i just think if we could sign him now,he'd cost around the million mark.If we wait till he's playing for England,he'l be playing for Spurs and cost us ten zillion. That's how it works isn't it ? Er,you may be able to tell that i would like us to sign Brady.
brady is way off being ready for man utd if ever. maybe a better idea would be to tempt man utd to a permanant BUT offer them first refusal / a buy back clause if he ever got to that level. it would be beneficial to all parties surely ?
This makes no sense. Stewarts was playing in the same way stewart was? I think if we were to get promoted, I think we would have a chance of getting him on a perm, although at this moment in time, we are only 10 games into the new season, he has scored only one goal, and yeah he has looked our most threatening player so far and has done well in some games, he has a lot to improve on no doubt about that. Think he has the highest stat for having a shot, also the highest off taget shots. Thats something he needs to improve on. No doubt he is something special and I think an extension on his loan deal would be first and promotion before getting him on a perm.
I think Man U may be tempted to keep him another year, all I hear is good things coming out of United. They may see if they can get him a prem loan move if his form with us keeps up after a expected extension. He is only 19 and Cleverley is just getting into the Man U team at 22 successful prem loan spell
