    spent 40m in January as he demanded to sign premier league players to get them promoted. can understand the board saying he's had his premier league players

    Why would clubs like Bournemouth throw money away trying to finish 4th off bottom? Trying to stay in the Premier League is unsustainable for many clubs getting promoted. Might as well let the people who got you there have a crack, because the majority of the players that you would buy you would have to pay alot for in fees and wages and would be lower half/relegation level anyway. If they go back down, spend the parachute payments in order to have another crack. Only when there is evidence that a club has a firm footing should a club push the boat out. If we get promoted I would be in no rush for us to throw money away. I'd be happy to accept a few years as a yo-yo club before we could push onto the next stage.

    But I imagine if they go back down he was still sacked for telling the truth.
